Hot off the press from Hong Kong based retailer Loopaza Mega Store’s Facebook page, we have learned that TakaraTomy planned on releasing two more figures in their Power of the Primes toyline. The figures will be PP-41 Wreck-Gar and PP-42 Nemesis Prime. Wrecker-Gar’s price will be 2,800 Yen (about 25.00 USD), and Nemesis Prime will be sold at 8,000 Yen (about 72 USD). Both will be released in December, 2018 along with Encore Unicron that month. These will likely be mostly identical to their counterpart released by Hasbro at Walgreens and Amazon respectively. TakaraTomy Masterpiece MP-43 Beast Megatron Price and Release Date Revealed
Thanks again to Hong Kong based retailer Loopaza Mega Store’s Facebook page, we received information on the highly anticipated release of the next Beast Wars Masterpiece figure, MP-43 Beast Megatron. According to information from the post, Beast Megatron is scheduled to be released in January 2019, with a retail price of 35,000 Yen (approximately 315.00 USD per current conversion rate). This release edge out MP-41 Dinobot’s 30,240 Yen retail price to become the highest price Masterpiece figure to date; however, it will be the largest Masterpiece figure scheduled for release as well. Along with Beast Megatron, it appears we will see a re-release of MP-32 Beast Wars Convoy in February, 2019 as well. Will you be adding this to your Masterpiece collection? TakaraTomy Transformers Encore Unicron Revealed
Thanks to Hong Kong based retailer Loopaza Mega Store’s Facebook page, we received information on the release of the next figure in the Transformers Encore Toyline from TakaraTomy. It is none other than the Planet Eater himself, Unicron! According the post, this release of Unicron seems to be the version from the Japanese Series Mircon Legend (Also known as Transformers Armada outside of Japan). Encore Unicron is scheduled for release in December 2018, with a retail price of 20,000 Yen (Approximately 180.00 USD per current conversion rate). Unicron has had several coloring and figure iteration throughout history, so it is uncertain what the exact mold and paint scheme used in the release. Transformers Power of the Primes Nemesis Prime In Hand Images
Courtesy of Taiwanese fan site TFND’s Facebook page, we got our first in hand look at the upcoming Power of the Prime Leader Class Nemesis Prime. This villainous version of the Autobot Leader spots a brand new color in black and teal, along with a new remolded head for the core robot, dubbed Nemesis Pax, and the combined robot mode. In addition, this version includes a slew of new accessories such as a new red-bladed sword, a transforming sword dubbed Decepticon Giza, and also two arm cannons.
Unfortunately, it is unclear how this figure can be obtained at this time. It was stated by the original poster in TFND’s post that the price remain unchanged even with all the brand new accessories included. Of course only time will tell if this is indeed accurate when official price and release date is announced. Transformers Optimus Prime Volume 3 New Cover
According to the listing on Amazon.com, it appears the cover art for the third volume trade paperback collection of IDW’s Transformers: Optimus Prime. The new cover consist of artwork from artist Casey Coller, who has been working on Transformers comics with IDW for quite a while. The volume is scheduled for release on July 3rd, 2018. Transformers Studio Series Autobot Jazz Additional In-hand Images
Thanks to the generosity of board member MachineHeart88, we treated to a fresh batch of new images of the upcoming Autobot Jazz figure form the movie Studio Series line. Being the sole Autobot that met his untimely demise at the hands of Megatron in the first live action movie in 2007, Jazz is given new life in this brand new movie toy line 10+ years later in 2018. From these detailed images (with an image showing some of the inner workings of the figure), we can this is a redesigned figure with an unique transformation as well as improved proportion and articulation from the deluxe figure in the first movie toy line. Transformers Power of the Primes Optimal Optimus In Hand Images
Thanks to Weibo user NOTRAB, we are treated to a gallery of final production sample of the upcoming Transformers Power of the Primes Leader Class figure Optimal Optimus. These images are showing off the figure in action posed in robot mode, gorilla mode, surfing gorilla mode, and also jet mode. We also get a very close up shots of the sticker details on the figure, as well as the version of the matrix included with this release.
