Toys”R”Us of Hong Kong has posted a Commercial for the Transformers: Hunt For The Decepticons campaign. This new version is much shorter than the Original Version but features Leader Class Starscream, Leader Battle Hooks Optimus Prime, Deluxe Battle Blades Bumblebee and Deluxe Sidearm Sideswipe.
Is the rumor coming true? That is the question. But we do issue a Spoiler Warning now, look away.
I’m sure you all remember the little Carly, Sam and Bunny scene that was posted few days ago. Then you already know that Seymour Simmons was there too (with some guy carrying a briefcase). Those of you with careful eyes spotted another car with Sideswipe and the Ferrari 458 Italia. The presence of that car was not a coincident it seems, for reports are coming in regarding that particular car to be associated with Simmons himself. No, we can’t call it a Transformer (Not yet anyway, not without proof). But interestingly enough that car is not just an ordinary car, it’s a Maybach 62S Landaulet says Albershide of Shoot For The Edit Forums. That car is a little expensive. I’ll put it this way… You can buy 24 Chevrolet Camaro Transformers/Bumblebee Edition cars for the price of 1 (just one) Maybach 62S Landaulet. So, back to the question… Is Simmons a Millionaire?
Few weeks back, TheLastPrime of 2005 Movie Discussions stated that in Transformers 3 Seymour Simmons is a Millionaire by writing books (Who’s betting it’s Harry Potter or Twilight?). Anyway… Back to Simmons, If he’s riding a sweet Maybach 62S Landaulet (with a Chauffeur as well) surely this could mean something. His expensive looking attire adds a value to the rumor too.
Hit the Discuss button to speculate this latest development. You’ll also find a Screenshot of a YouTube video with Simmons and the Maybach plus some images of a Maybach 62S Landaulet taken from various automobile websites.
Update : sannman of TFW2005 Discussions sent us some Exclusive Hi-Res Images taken from a set of Transformers 3. One of the images shows the License Plate of the Maybach 62S Landaulet. Though it’s a generic number, coincidentally it looks like it spells “Simmons” if you look at it from afar. And even more coincidentally, it’s the same Plate from the Automobile Website. The Movie Series Desert Decimation four pack, which we reported on way back in May, has been spotted at US retail! This set, which consists of Autobot Ratchet, Ironhide, Bonecrusher and a desert redeco of Brawl, was sighted for $19.99 at a Boscov’s in Butler, PA. It’s also been sighted for $15.99 at Magic Mart, suggesting that this set is exclusively available at the smaller retailers.

A loose Grimstone With Dinobots set from Power Core Combiners has turned up on an auction from Yahoo Japan. This set should see release stateside soon. This set is unique, not only because it has a Dinobots theme, but because each mold in this set is new(unlike the wave 3 5-packs).

Two news regarding the Transformers 3 Accident.
Reports are coming in that Gabriella Cedillo had to undergo brain surgery on Thursday afternoon. She is now in stable condition. It’s happy to hear that she’s recovering. Hearts of all Transformers Fans are with her… Wishing a full and fast recovery.
Meanwhile, Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Paramount has spoken to them, Nikki Finke writes…
“Paramount just weighed in with me to say that the injured extra was not involved in the stunt, that her car was not involved in the stunt, that a “freak accident caused her injury”, that she and her car were more than 500 feet from the stunt, that she was struck by a flying metal object whose welding had come apart and not by a steel towing cable, that the stunt from Tuesday had to be repeated Wednesday because of a “timing issue” and not because it had failed, and that “nobody has done movies more safely than Michael Bay”. The studio, however, could not explain why its version of events was so at odds with the local police and media reports. “We feel horrible that anyone was injured and will take all appropriate action,” a Paramount exec told me.”
Also, some reports say that the filming of Transformers 3 is halted temporarily, although no official statement was made regarding that.
L-U of HK-TF has posted new galleries for the following Hunt For The Decepticons figures:
Amongst all movie continuity Autobots, Highbrow sticks out for having an alt mode reminiscent of a World War II fighter plane. Still, like his Transformers Generation 1 predecessor, he features 2 big propeller engines. Meanwhile, Terradive is reminiscent of the Conquest X-30. Could the prop plane Autobot take out the “Conquesticon”?Hit the title bar to check them out!

Remember the new version of The Touch that Stan Bush produced prior to Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, intending it to be included on the Revenge of the Fallen soundtrack? The remixed song was not a big hit with the fans due to the rap included in the song which many felt ruined the feel of the song. Now, Stan has released a new version of the remixed Sam’s Theme: The Touch, featuring no rap! It will be exclusively available on his new album, Dream the Dream, which will be available on iTunes and from StanBush.com from 09/15/10. In the meantime, check out this music video available on Stan Bush’s official Youtube channel:

Here’s another little bit of on-set filming for you today – a very heavily blue truck was seen at a stunt shoot on Cline Avenue in Whiting, Indiana. The all-blue truck will probably not make it into the final version of the film, as it is likely being used as a CGI reference plate for something to be added in post production. The question is, what? For now, while you speculate, check out some footage courtesy of Youtube user drinkmilkraw showing the stunt sequence for a little bit of “work in progress” work on what looks like an action-packed battle or chase sequence.
Poptang has posted auctions for the following Hunt For The Decepticons figures on Tao Bao:
Both figures are expected stateside within a matter of months(or possibly even weeks!). Both are new figures for their respective assortments. Hit the title bar to check them out!
