Hasbro Transformers designer Sam Smith has taken to his Instagram to share a behind the scenes look at the newly-revealed Legacy United Titan Tidal Wave!

We have great information about the creative process of the latest Titan, details about articulation, deco, engineering and even 360 views of the combined “Burning Megatron” mode, using the extra parts included with Tidal Wave.

Following our coverage of the Singapore Comic Con 2023 event, we noticed there was a screen which showed an official presentation of Legacy United Titan Tidal Wave with Hasbro designer Sam Smith and Brand Manager Ben “BMac” MacCrae.

Via Toy Scope Facebook we have extracts of the video presentation in better quality. We can see Tidal Wave in robot mode and the combined warship mode. To our surprise, they also showed a new base mode for Tidal Wave. To top it all we also have a small pic of Tidal Wave’s packaging.

It seems Commander Magmatron is not the only Legacy United “big ticket” item to be revealed early – according to Hasbro Pulse’s website, the line’s Titan will also be revealed at Cybertron Fest 2023 on December 9-10!

“GLOBAL REVEAL OF FALL 2024 ITEM

Be amongst the first in the world to catch the global reveal of a Transformers Legacy Titan toy, which will launch this coming Fall 2024!”

Going by previous info (and the United poster itself), this will be our first look at Tidal Wave, a character Armada fans have been requesting for a long time now.

There is a brand new headsculpt on Hotshot, he has a grizzled look, the inspiration is all about episode 45 in Transformers armada!

Blast effects are reissues but the color of them really stand out from the rest of the releases. The tint spec gives you a sort of edge glow which makes a nice accent to this ripp roaring flame deco.

Hasui san just made this minicon jolt the coolest lil power up! There is great spin for the propellars and the details are spot on to the cartoon show. I was not able to get the color break in the oranges but at least the illustration on the front of pack has it!

I’m very pleased to hear all the Armada love, I kicked Hotshot off with Takara with the original turns from @archermonster_creative . Yes, I have found a decent archive of binders at work and No, they are never leaving my hands. 😎

Hasbro Transformers designer Mark Maher is back at it again tonight on his Instagram, this time giving us the rundown on the highly-anticipated Legacy Evolution Commander Armada Optimus Prime! He even addresses the famous Takara Armada Optimus seen years ago. Check out his comments below and then see the attached pics after the jump!

“Here he is, Commander Armada Prime is ready to grace your shelf with nothing but pure power!

When I kicked this character off to TT, I actually sent over the Wondercon Takara Tomy prototype image that was shown at that event. They explained to me that the grey model their domestic team showed off did not have the super mode combining ability. The amazing Hasui san took the bull by the horns and just went wild!

The Armada style was always super interesting to me, I didn’t view the series until after I played with some of the toys. I actually never got my hands on this og toy, but watching the show, the ting in Primes voice really struck a cord with me. I feel like the series didn’t really hit me hard until I got to work with @archermonster_creative inside the halls of Hasbro.
.
The bulky tires, the powerlifter build, the design and great heroic features he displays makes me want to play with this toy for hours. This figure demands a respect whether you dig Armada or not, he is just such a perfect addition to the Legacy multiverse.

Highlight reel: dark blue op on the faces to differentiate from the helmet adds extra depth and details, silver 5 mm smokestack blasters, sculpted decoed autobot badge, clear matrix, supermode transformation feels so good, ratcheted leg and shoulder joints, articulated ab crunch…I’ll stop there 😎

TFW’s users seem to have been enjoying our continued coverage of the recently-revealed Legacy Evolution Commander Armada Optimus Prime figure, so we thought it’d be nice to highlight yet another photo gallery to start off the weekend, this one courtesy of TFW board member Phamduc.

This gallery gives us a very good look at the figure, including its super mode combination sequence, poses, and some further size comparisons.

Important to note however that it appears some aspects have been customized, including the cab robot toes and super mode eyes.
