Just after the big news yesterday of our first look at the upcoming Legacy Evolution Commander Armada Optimus Prime, we now have a new in-hand photo this morning of the figure’s super mode in a pose similar to the one shown off in the aforementioned product image.
While we’re still waiting for the official reveal, we will be sure to update with any further pics that come our way of this highly-anticipated figure, so stay tuned and let us know your thoughts on this guy in the ongoing discussion thread!
Update: Many additional pics added, including the cab’s bot mode, truck mode, base mode, size comparisons, and more.
Update 2: Even more images here.

Quick few questions for anyone who has this guy and did edits:
Sorry if anyone minds me asking. It's been a while, so I am not sure if these were already answered or never answered.

Theoretically you could take the gun platform out to make room for this, but you'd lose the ability for optimus to tow the trailer and some stability.

Is there a way to have those big blue blocks on the sides of the trailer tucked in? I know it's accurate, but I just really don't like the way they look sticking out the sides of the trailer, and that's really the one main thing holding me back from buying. It looks like it may be possible, from the reviews and pictures I've looked at, but everyone transforms it the correct way obviously so I can't really tell for sure

I did the fix and it feels so much better handling the shin pieces now. Thankfully the stress marks were surface level and were not present on the back sides of the parts.

I had this problem with mine, I took apart the shin to fix it, but it was so tight that the inner barrel of the hinge just snapped instead of the panel coming off, I wasn't happy about it. But then I put it back together and it worked as intended.

To be fair, Armada Optimus's trailer actually did use the trailer base mode at least once during the show. In a rather plainly obvious "to sell the gimmick" manner where all the mini-cons stationed themselves on it but the base itself served no real purpose being deployed. But it is an Optimus Prime trailer which as tradition states if he has one, it gets a base mode, and they're usually decent enough given they don't normally need robot modes.
Ironically, you can't really say the same about the two other UT Optimus Prime trailers since Energon's is…a rhombus with a helipad that is blatantly just a trailer tilted forward, and Cybertron Optimus Prime just as a couple of connected panels that detach from alt. mode and recombine in robot mode.
I will not stand for this slander against TR Triggerhappy. That transformation is a work of art.

That I do not know how to do, sadly… I think some users here may have experience using a blow dryer or something to help resolve it, but I've never done that myself.
My first Armada Optimus actually broke at the shin panel, and on my second I immediately did the fix before even transforming him at all.
TheDragonDAFan
Thank you very much. Do you know if there's a way to remove the stress marks from the plastic?
Shadow25
Yes – you're going to want to unscrew the leg, and then SLOWLY and CAREFULLY slide the shin panel off the post. Make sure to hold it only from the part that goes over the post and not the panel itself. Slowly rotate back and forth as you pull out.
Once it's off, you can do one of two things. You can either sand the post, or widen the gap inside the shin panel. You basically want to loosen up the friction there which is incredibly tight by making more physical space.
What I did was the latter. I took a metal flathead screwdriver and stuck it inside the hole, and rotated back and forth with mild force. This basically acted as a sanding mechanism. I did this a few times and tested placing back on the post until I was satisfied with how it moved. One thing to note is that when you reassemble the leg it will tighten up a little beyond what you are testing it as while unassembled, so feel free to go a bit further sanding to get the desired amount of give.

Is there a guide on how to loosen the shin panels? It's the thing preventing me from fiddling with my copy more. Also, is there some kind of silver paint pen that's close to the silver used on Optimus? Some of the paint on the grill chipped off because of the super mode transformation.

They really need to strike while the iron is hot and get at least Jetfire out there soon. Tidal Wave came the next year after Megatron, but it looks like it will be at least three years between Armada Optimus (2023) and a possible Jetfire (2026 at the earliest).
A little bummed that Red Alert is seemingly our only Armada guy next year (I guess Wheeljack, but he's technically part of Legacy United and not Generations Prime).

I bought my reissue yesterday from a friend's store and it's pretty good. Overhyped but still great. I sanded down the pegs on the core robot's legs.

T30 Metroplex isn't too bad, other than the visible hands and the death ramp to nowhere.

Before the release of Legacy Armada Optimus Prime, 3rd party Fans Hobby Naval Commander MP-15 has the best
Armada Optimus Prime design in my opinion. Now with the release of Legacy Armada Optimus Prime, i feel that both have beautiful nice design in their own way.

Yeah trypticon and T30 metroplex are pretty much the closest we’ve had to functional good playable base modes. Certainly surprised they haven’t done more that are actually good.
WishfulThinking
I'd argue we haven't had a real good base mode since G1. And even then, only Metroplex, Fortress Maximus and Overlord had decent ones, IMO. That will skew a lot of perceptions on what base modes can bring to the table. But I did appreciate the attempts during Titans Return. TR Trypticon is definitely an improvement over the original whereas I felt TR Fort Max was a step backwards.
Tetratron
Yeah Armada Optimus is peak.

Luckily mine has never had those at all despite the panels being a little tight.

The copies i've seen online with really apparent stress mark did break over time, i did the mod even though i had the stress marks but ever since i've done it, doesn't feel like it's going to break.
