I would assume the thighs. In his final transformation, this is the first instance we see his wheel. View attachment 30358569
Well that's not true! Battletrap did…uhhh. He-
Well Nightbird! She did that thing where…she didn't use her swords against Bee when she had every opportunity. Uhhh. Yeah.
Echostride Prime
Wow,
You actually calculated that.

guys what if battletrap and nightbird being completely useless in ROTB is a clever reference to how cyclonus and scourge do absolutely nothing in 86?
zane1345
So does Prime's front wheels go in the chest or in his legs ?
Asphalt21
Just rewatcher rotb for the first time since i saw it in theaters and my opinions haven't changed, good movie and characters but very mid. 10 or 12/20
JonzyYT
Correct.
VVa
Oh right, the part where the Autobots are at the mercy of the Terrorcons and they just let them leave…again.
JonzyYT
He transforms in the background as Prime says "I will end you Scourge". So does Arcee.
Johnson the third
he transformed back into vehicle mode near the end of the chase behind optimus
VVa
No way Wheeljack transformed 3 times. Wasn't it just his introduction scene and the mountainside chase, where he was forced out of vehicle mode?
Also I think it's funny despite being dead for half the runtime, Bee still has the third most amount of transformations. Lmao
Johnson the third
61
Shadow25
How many is that?
Johnson the third
ROTB actually has 41
Optimus Prime: 5
Mirage: 9
Bumblebee: 6
Arcee: 6
Wheeljack: 3
Stratosphere: 2
Optimus Primal: 1
Cheetor: 1
Rhinox: 1
Scourge: 2
Nightbird: 2
Battletrap: 1
Scorponoks: 2
Johnson the third
Bumblebee has the most transformations out of any of the films??
Shadow25
Really?! Even less than Bumblebee?
By my count:
Optimus Prime 5x
Bumblebee 4x
Arcee 3x
Mirage 5x (at least)
Wheeljack 1x
Stratosphere 2x
Optimus Primal 1x
Rhinox 1x
Cheetor 1x
Scourge 2x
Nightbird 2x
Battletrap 1x
That's almost 30. Even watching the film it felt like there was a decent amount of transformations. Did BB really have more?

See, that's exactly what I mean! It feels like an event in the first 3, debatably four films. ROTB feels more like a tv show in the way it feels that it can just chew up scenery by having the bots just stand there. They have more screen time but they don't do anything meaningful or cool. Even the cartoons make the bots feel big.
The other films, have the bots not get too much screen time but I'd rather have short memorable moments than long forgettable ones.
Johnson the third
ROTB actually features the least amount of transformations in any of the 7 films
EvilLobsterKing
he transformers on my rise of till I the beasts
Shadow25
Somewhere, I think starting with Dark of the Moon, they largely started treating transformations as a means to an end rather than the money shots in and of themselves. Ok, this character is in vehicle mode and we need to get them into robot mode, so let's quickly transform them in the background or behind something. I appreciate that ROTB features a lot more transformations than some of the later movies, but even then a lot of them are very quick and to the point and there's not much detail to pick out (other than things that they are deliberately trying to hide).
The iconic shot of Prime arriving to Mission City, the camera is whizzing around him to hide a lot of the cheating, but it's shot in such a dynamic way that it truly feels like this larger than life robot character is bursting out of that truck. The shot of Prime arriving to the warehouse in ROTB is going for something similar but still can't quite capture that feeling. Even Bumblebee's transformation right after, which is probably the single cleanest transformation in the film, just kind of feels matter-of-fact since it's happening in a medium, static shot.
One of the drawbacks of treating the Transformers more like human characters is that they are shot more like humans, with more wide and full-body shots. TF07 often shoots the robots like they can barely fit in the frame, or from low to the ground, really selling the scale and that they aren't human.

I just don't get how they made all of the other characters's transformations make sense(except Scourge), but the big blocky truck man is what stumps them.
Their problem was doing flat angles(barring some scenes) for transformations. Part of what made transformations feel like an event and flow better in the Bayverse was the cinematography. It also helped hide the cheating.
