Via IGN.com we can share for you our first look at the new Transformers R.E.D. 6-Inch action figure series G1 Optimus Prime & Megatron.
This is a new line of non-transformable but detailed action figures. R.E.D, for “Robot Enhanced Design”, Series figures come with interchangeable parts and accessories.
Similar to Hasbro’s other premium figure lines, the Transformers R.E.D. series figures come with plenty of accessories.
Megatron includes “a Fusion Cannon, four alternate hands including one that holds an Energon cube,” as well as an interchangeable hand holding an “Energon Mace accessory.”
Optimus comes with “four alternate hands, Ion Blaster, Energon Axe,” and opening his chest reveals the “iconic Matrix of Leadership.”
Pre-orders for the Transformers R.E.D. series Megatron and Optimus Prime go live on June 26 at 1 pm ET at Walmart.com in the US. Both list for $19.99 and come out September 1.
This reveal finally solves the mystery of our previously reported Walmart Listings for “Generations G1 Red” figures while back in April. According to those listings, we may expect a Soundwave on this new line.

Yeah I have yet to see RED or even Marvel Legends/Black Series beyond big theater movie releases at my Walmart. Or retro or GIJOE anything. Although we did have a tag up for the

I figured I'd start checking stores in March if she doesn't ship. It's possible they might show up earlier, but I doubt it.

I check brick seek every day and will until I get Arcee in hand

If you can find her, I have yet to see any yet.however my pre-orders for RED w1 finally came after 5 months lol.
Joshb721
I was hopeful for a while because they kept her preorder up for so long. I may end up having to track her down in stores if she gets postponed.

Or at all. Going by Walmarts past experiences. I hate when companies take my money then cancel way later. Target and Amazon does this frequently. Same Walmart ugh

Wow, they really messed up at every turn. I'm so used to seeing everything done right in things like earthrise, kingdom, etc.

legends are consistently bigger than the scale they claim to be in. Part of the issue being the heavy reuse of body molds.
Black series…uh, well…just give up on scale and enjoy. They either nail it in this line or completely obliterate it.
“Scale” and “Hasbro” should always be taken loosely.

Same line. Same Yoda.
Note that there is a difference between “6 inch scale” and “6 inch figure”
These two terms mean completely different things

I saw a review and the Gut Gun that comes with the R.E.D Cheetor Will work with the Kingdom deluxe version, only it’ll set a very slightly tilt down.
Shouldn’t be enough to notice once posed however.

I have Arcee preordered and it says she won't ship until March. I was hoping it would be sooner, but knowing Walmart I'll be lucky if she even ships by March.

Has this Cheetor or Arcee been shipped to anyone from Walmart.com yet? If so, which bots were shipped, & how long ago.
Thanks I had them pre-ordered but i can only do it by phone so I figured I'd check it out first.

Sadly they aren't, they are normal handles that go in the standard 1/12 gripping hand.

Curious, are RED series accessories 5mm compatible? Wondering if Cheetor's gun would work with the Kingdom figure
Chaos Muffin
Looks wayyy better than Kingdom Cheetor.
The proportions are good, just needs some extra paint.
Agree about the face looking a bit wierd and too matured.

Black Series Yoda is totally the same height as Chewbacca, yes. Just like Marvel Legends Rocket Racoon is as big as Hulk.
Joshb721
Legends, Black Series, etc all have fairly decent scaling between each other. They're 6 inch scale, yes, but not ALL 6 inches, so while the average height of figures is 6 inches, there are also figure much shorter and taller, depending on the character, something which is often accomplished by build-a-figures or deluxe figures. It's really disappointing to me as someone who collects Legends, since I can get good displays and group shots with those Hasbro figures, but I won't have that with other Hasbro stuff. The complaint is in comparison to other Hasbro lines, who do things better.
SPLIT LIP
But it isn't. Cheetor never used the whip in season 1. People buy these toys because they recreate, within reason, what was on the show. There's no reason Cheetor couldn't have come with a gun.
Because it takes away one of the key aspects of the character?
It's like if ER Prime didn't come with a gun, or if G1 Megatron didn't have his fusion cannon. Cheetor, like most BW characters, fought almost entirely by shooting in season 1. Giving him the whip and not the gun was just plain lazy. Does it ruin the figure? No, but it ruins a lot of opportunities the figure could've had.
This gets worse when you factor in that, according to leaks, Tigatron does have the gut gun, so Cheetor's going to be even more out of place.
Arrogant Arachnid
i guess, but at least he still has a weapon he had in the show.
mainly just dont get why people act as if it ruins the whole fig
SPLIT LIP
Because it was his main weapon in that body? Rattrap has his gun, Primal has his arm blasters, Blackarachnia has her gun.
Really, dude? It's clearly meant to be a modern take on his season 1 body, which used a gun. (two guns, actually) Every other character has their on-screen weapon.
Cheetor hardly even used the whip in his Transmetal body, he mostly just shot energy from his beast mouth/hands.
