I hate the anime colors but I get this deco was before the Nemesis Prime colors were a thing. Kinda makes sense how they went with show accuracy here seeing how badly they botched Scourge’s colors. That said it makes me even more furious that they fucked over Scourge while getting this bland deco right on the first try.

I would love a replacement head for this mold. It's just so blank looking, even with eyes painted in. Just a flat stare, no personality. It works ok in robot mode as a shoulder, but beast mode looks like a bad taxidermy. I really like the mold otherwise, the lion mode feels so solid and the transformation is fun!

Completely disagree with Chefatron's negative review, especially concerning the colour scheme. I really like the subdued, understated colours, especially in beast mode. There's a lot of subtle paint work going on here that Chefatron didn't notice, to get all the variations in greys/blacks/gunmetals. …Subtle paint work — in a Hasbro transformer! Now there's something you don't see every day.
Still wish he had a snarling lion head; the lion just looks so docile instead of fierce… 3rd party to the rescue?

Don't really have much desire for an all edgy black & gray Lioconvoy, but I can appreciate the look. It's sad and ironic how this version gets the better lion face deco with pupils and the original Lio didn't, when an 'evil repaint' could easily get away with solid-color eyes, especially if they were red or something similarly sinister-looking.

The only reason I'd buy this repaint is to take the weapons and the eyeballs, that's it. Nothing about this figure calls out to my wallet, even the weapons and eyes.

It’s a great figure that is entirely ruined by a bad color layout. At least the normal color exists.

It’s a nice deco but it’s also kinda boring IMHO. The original deco seems just more vibrant to me at least.

So if I'm seeing this correctly, it seems like Hasbro is ditching the bronze/brown pieces that were originally on the figure when they showed it off a few months ago. That said, it looks INFINITELY better without the random brown/bronze highlights. I initially was going to pass on this, but this pictures just got me to preorder it. Looks awesome!

I appreciate where you’re coming from, given the realistic sculpt to the beast mode. Still, Copy Convoy is an anime-only color scheme and I have no problem with the anime pupils. I’ll do my best to ignore the realistic sculpted fur that thankfully blends away given the black color.

I really prefer it without the pupils. The solid-color eyes feel like a giveaway that these characters are still robots. The pupils look kinda cartoonish next to mostly realistic animals.
