We have quite an unexpected surprise to share with you. Via fccid website we have what seems to be our first images of a new Robosen Flagship Auto-Transforming G1 Grimlock.
As you have just read, Robosen is likely to release another auto-converting Transformers figure similar to their Auto-Converting Optimus Prime (now available in Flagship and Elite versions) which got the attention of fans and general public in 2021. Now, this G1 Grinlock figure will transform in front of your eyes, move, walk, speak, and more, all controlled via voice command or a mobile app. We bet many of your are now thinking of a loud “Me Grimlock King!”. From what we can see from the images, this figure will include Grimlock’s blaster sword and flame effects.
We still have no concrete information about price or release date, but we hope the official reveal is coming soon. See all the new images, including a brief instruction sheet (which confirms it can transform) after the break and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

How much is an accessory pack worth? I got sent one after I sent my Grimlock back so can sell it.

Unexpected after all these months, but today I got a message from Robosen telling me they'd sent out the accessory pack for Grimlock to me! I'd given up expecting this, but I was hoping for one, back when Grimlock first arrived.
It's shipping from France to the Netherlands, so if you're in the EU and were also expecting a pack… there's still hope!

Update from me. After weeks of me chasing and many failed expected delivery dates from Robosen they gave me the options refund which I have taken.
I think this was the only outcome for me as it was clear they were unable to fulfill my order. I hope to have the money refunded in 10 days. They have processed it so let's see.
Was a long journey from June 2023 preorder to the faulty item arriving on 12th December and the painful requests for updates on my part when their dates never materialised. Hopefully it's all resolved now.

Honestly, it’s fun. Is it worth $1500? That’s up to every person. I’m not 100% certain it was for me. But Grimlock is a top 3 bot for me. And I have a small collection. But I don’t regret it either. My kids love it and the theater mode with Optimus (now that it works) is funny.
So that’s a whole paragraph of “it varies by person but I like mine”.

After I opened it on X-mas, I had it transform a few time and now I don't mess with it. I bought it as a stand alone piece because it looked like the MP toy, whereas I didn't think Optimus looked very good. I ended up getting mine cheaper when Hasbro accidentally had it for sale, but I don't think I would buy another release. On one hand it's amazing what it can do and I get why it's so expensive due to all the servos etc, but when it's off, it's just limp for the most part. In Dinomode you can get it stand up and be pretty steady even though there are no joint's "locked." If you really enjoy robotics, you will probably like it. It's probably unlikely, but if you can find someone try theirs out, that might be for-filling enough for you. My guess is if I had a chance to experience in hand first, I probably wouldn't have bought it. Again amazing, but I just don't really know what to do with it. You can't really "play" with it.

Besides the Robosen support, what's the consensus as far as Grimlock goes? Is everyone happy with their purchase? I've debated on getting one myself but at $1500, I want to make sure it's not a mistake lol. I'm also thinking of getting the flagship OP and his trailer. Thanks everyone for the input!

In case anyone else was having this problem, after damn near a month of chasing Robosen down they just reissued an update to the app. In the mini theater you can redownload the actions and that solved this problem for me. At least for now. So I’ll take it.

Feel your pain. I am still waiting for my replacement Grimlock. It's been a month and a half now.
They've lost any future purchases from me. Their customer support and is atrocious

God, Robosen support sucks. My Grimlock freezes in theater mode with Optimus. Been trying to get answers for almost a month with 2 weeks without a response to any of my emails. Ugh. I hate them so much.

With all the craziness on Christmas I didn’t get a chance to open mine up until yesterday but no problems on my end either My son and I messed around with it for a good half hour last night and we had a blast. It really is an amazing thing.

Yeah, in the theater mode with Optimus I get the “chest bracket stuck” error around 70% every time. Anyone else have this problem?

Mine is working great! Had a few issues on the theater mode with prime but I think the battery was just low. Will try that again tomorrow. But man, he’s fun!

I finally got my returns label with zero instructions from Robosen just "check label". I got the label after I did a review on trustpilot which sends the review their way. Not sure if that sped it up. Anyway, it's arrived as I checked the tracking. Have since asked support for next steps… Let's see what happens now.

There is an address in their footer for a business park in Basingstoke, but it might only be a correspondence address for formalities like companies house.

Where it becomes less clear with the default advice, is what to when the seller goes incommunicado.
Check the rules before recalling the funds, just to make sure you don't put yourself in a bad position.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I did initiate a return through their website a week back and they won't give me an update and just radio silence.
If I can get their address then as you say I can be out of pocket a bit versus being £1399 in the red. Guess I just need the address now. I'll contact the bank in the morning and find out. What was disturbing was my bank credit card said (over web chat) because the purchase was over 120 days ago, they can't dispute it and I'll have to call them. I am hoping a phone call will help.
This is a very unfortunate situation. While I am only one customer, I would have bought many of these transformers from Robosen as I already have flagship prime. But when the customer service is this poor it's not worth the risk or hassle.
