Robosen Auto-Converting Optimus Prime In-Hand Images & New Pre-Orders Announced

Via ShartimusPrime on Youtube we have a nice set of in-hand images of the new Robosen Auto-Converting Optimus Prime.

This incredible Optimus Prime figure can really transform in front of your eyes, move, walk, speak (Peter Cullen’s voice) and more! All controlled via voice command or a mobile app. We have our first look at the special packaging, weapons, accessories, instructions, as well as how the mobile app works. You can unlock extra moves and sounds while completing some tasks. To top it all, we have some comparison shots of this amazing figure next to G1 Optimus Prime, MP-44 Optimus Prime, Siege Omega Supreme and HasLab Unicron.

The original pre-order of this figure sold out in minutes, but new pre-orders will go live tomorrow July, Tuesday 19th at 1:00 pm EST time via Hasbro Pulse for $699.99. Sold and ship in 48 US States only.

I keep emailing Robosen about my warranty registration and if I can order the extended warranty. No one responds… makes me worried about giving them more money. I got mine from Best Buy and it's working fine. Just wanted to have the extended warranty.

I should not matter if you purchased from them directly, if it was purchased through a dealer/Dist, as long as there is proof of purchase and the serial number matches, it should be covered under warranty. A lot of people have purchased through Hasbro Pulse and is covered under the one year warranty.

I can provide a discount code if you would like to purchase the extended warranty then ask the team again if you purchase the warranty, will it be covered?

Sadly, they did not give him any proof of purchase that came from Robeson, he had bought it back in July, and nothing else was provided to him. He may have goten it from a dealer at a convention, who was selling a few. I sent them the serial number and they said "without a proof of purchase they cannot verify purchase date". Than gave me the same response from their FAQ to check the app volume, which was the first thing I did. At this point, it sounded like they can do nothing, they didn't offer me anything in regards to purchasing an warranty either.

So, I got one a month and a half ago, was brand new, sealed in the box and came from a friend who purchased through dealer/distributor. My second time playing with it, it stopped making sounds. After over a month of back and forth with Robosen, they couldn’t figure out the issue, and because I didn’t buy it directly from them and have an invoice from them, they cannot do anything without me paying for it. Basically, I can spend about $200+ to ship there, back and fee to work on, and may not be able to resolve it. So, it still works as far as doing everything, but no sound. They even had me replace the files in him through USB. Sadly, I haven’t played with it much since. Been bummed about it. Long and short is, had a great opportunity to buy it as my friend didn’t want it after getting it, and I lose out because we don’t have a direct purchase from them…

Hi Everyone, A Robosen user posted these in the facebook group that they have for sale, Stands made for the Elite and Flagship. This will allow you to display Optimus standing when powered down.
You will have to manually fold down the legs and straighten them to get him to stand powered off as he will go to in the kneeling position by default.

I sure hope not. I’d love a stand but won’t be paying a ridiculous amount for it. I’d rather have a simpler stand than a complex one that costs over $100. Honestly, $50 is my sweet spot for something like this.

I’ll pay high prices for advanced robotics, but not for a stationary object.

I was pretty much joking about that price but I can see it being at least $150 to $200 , nothing is cheap with this company !! charging $99 flagship $99 trailer and $69 elite for an extended warrenty for each of them should show they love a cash grab!

I am confused about the heads on the Flahship and Elite versions. Official pics show no red flap behind either head but when I look at online reviews, it seems the smaller Elite version has a red flap behind the head. Is there an alternate head or can the flap be pushed down/removed?
