Concept designer Shane Baxley has shared, via his Instagram account, some great concept art illustrations of Bumblebee Movie Dropkick.
We have a look at a Triple Changer Dropkick concept art using parts of the AMC Javelin car and the Bell AH1 helicopter. Additionally, we also have a look at an early idea for Dropkick’s cannon. It’s sure another great way to see the progress and evolution of the creative process in the the film.
Check out the images after the jump and then sound off your impressions on the 2005 Boards!

Sadly we've seen these ones :/

Hey, that looks almost exactly like the Studio Series 46 Dropkick toy.

Oh cool, Beerus The Destroyer was meant to be in Bumblebee, I hope Mr. T's cereal is good enough for convincing the God of Destruction to not destroy the planet.

Ok

Let's steer back on topic towards the concept art being shared.

I didn't say it wasn't bad, I just said Bumblebee is "worse"
I mean, they don't burn cash
Overall I get where you're coming from
DarkRed401
it is an argument, the difference between 1-2 and 50-100 seems big but in reality this is still 50 percent difference
i never said that bayverse was unsuccessful, my initial analogy of fortnite was that just because something is popular/successful doesn't automatically indicate quality as a parallel to bayverse. your initial argument was that bayverse wasn't bad because it made money though you also added how long they remained relevant but not whether this was positive or negative.
Music
Nice to know you're putting in an equal amount of effort in this discussion here. You are doing a great job in selling your argument.
BelnadesPistol
That's not an argument.
Good point, you still admitted which one is at least statistically more successful tho
I asked for another joke and you actually listened to me. Have a nice day.

Considering my argument was revolved around the films that came after ROTF, my point still stands in regard to AOE and TLK. They at least tried making a good film with DOTM (despite its many flaws) so I won't count that. The Chinese pandering in AOE was clear as daylights and in TLK, we aware of the heavy promotion in China which eventually lead to the $100M loss of the film. Not even that, there's still a shitload of Chinese product placement in the film itself which you seemed to have ignored. Things such as Mengniu (a Chinese drink), a LeEco smartphone, the car porn website which I'm pretty sure was in Chinese, and I believe there was a Chinese car product placement.
Yes, relevant as a laughing stock of how not to make a film franchise. Honestly, I couldn't tell if you were being serious with that statement.
Has it though? It is well known to be one of the only good live-action Transformers films. Hell, when Travis Knight is mentioned in an article for his future live-action endeavors, Bumblebee is used quite frequently as his successful venture.
DarkRed401
indeed i should have expanded on and used more than money in my example, you used relevancy as to how bayverse at least in popularity did more than bumblebee.
by total numbers bayverse did better but it seems per capita bee did rather solidly
by success it can't be said bayverse is better but its important that popularity and quality while correlated are not exactly causation of one another
BelnadesPistol
AOE was the only film that "pandered" to Chinese people. TF '07 was in L.A. ROTF was in Egypt and was the Shanghai part was in Pennsylvania. Idk how you call that pandering to China anyways. DOTM was in Chicago, and TLK was in England. If you even watched the movies.
Subjective.
Tell me another joke, or don't because I'm probably going to ignore it.
It's not only money; the Bay films remained relevant months after they were released. Outside this site, Bumblebee has pretty much been tossed into the bargain bin.
That's a horrible analogy. Fortnite is free, and the game itself doesn't tell you to spend V-bucks. It's the people who play it that title free gamers "no-skins" or "Soccer skins"
Now, a better analogy would be MK11. While not rubbing its fanny on your cheek to spend money, it cranks up its extra modes to difficult, tedious, etc. and deludes you into spending a fortune so just you can get an augment lol
DarkRed401
making more money is a really dumb point for whether or not a movie is better, its more marketing than movie.
i see this get used a lot for marvel films in particular but either way if money is the primary indicator of quality than fortnite is objectively one of the best games of all time
AOEGalvatronRox
While I would take the first three Bay films over Bumblebee any day, I don’t think box office numbers are an indication of quality. There are plenty of movies that have made bank despite being mediocre or bad.
Music
And the domestic gross has been declining ever since ROTF which should be give you a hint towards the success of the Bayverse, unless you find that pandering to the Chinese audience deserves a round of applause. You know, that's actually another thing I really like about Bumblebee: they were able to make a successful film without relying on pleasing the Chinese audience with product placement and whatnot—all doing so while carrying the baggage of terrible franchise sequels.
BelnadesPistol
That's still a majority
AutobotAvalanche
Just the first four, as has been established many times.
octobotimus
And so did the last Jedi, which was terrible as well.
bay’s way to get money was simple, giant robots, Chinese market, 75 shots of women’s rear ends.
