After a long day of unexpected TFW2005 server upgrades, we have a little time to share an update to the reveal of Masterpiece Movie MPM Jazz and Megatron in China yesterday. Official images have been released by Hasbro, and we get a really good look at both of the 2007 Movie incarnations of these guys.
Jazz will come with a static Sam figure holding the Allspark, his weapon and a spinal cord add on to display him in “YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME / NO I WANT TWO” mode.
Megatron will come with an arm extension for his mace, fusion canon parts and an open chest to place an Allspark Cube in.

MPM Megatron is shelf warming in my local TRU with all the other MPMs. Not saying they’re bad figures but maybe TRU are ordering too many or the demand in my area is low. There are something like 19 Jazz figures which I think is high!
Anyway I’ve been waiting for Megs to go on clearance because I find $230+tax CAD to be high. I noticed last night that Amazon Japan had the Takara version for $130 CAD shipped to my door which is less than $100 USD. And it would have been even cheaper for U.S. citizens because you lucky people don’t pay import taxes. I decided to sleep on it. Today I checked and the price went up to $174 CAD. Apparently Amazon Japan had a Cyber Monday sale on yesterday. I had no idea that AJ had Cyber Monday sales and that Takara figures would be included in the sale.
So I recommend checking AJ next year on Cyber Monday!

There's this time the nosecone plastic on my copy got bended but after a while it just automatically warp back to its natural position.

and whoever designed those side ankle tilts should be ashamed, either you have the feet flat, or unclipping the ankle rocker makes it tilt too much, with nothing in between. mine also leans back, and the forward ankle tilt is not ratcheted, so standing him upright isn’t as stable. i don’t know, despite the mp/mpm line becoming more and more advanced, little nuances like this is starting to turn me off.
