Paramount Pictures hosted the red carpet premiere of Transformers: Bumblebee at the Los Angeles Chinese Theater, with all the beloved cast and crew. The event was sponsored by Volkswagen.
Muse TV recorded the entire event and has posted a video on their official You Tube channel.
Regarding the G1 aspect of the movie, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura stated that they heard the fans wanting a G1 movie but couldn’t find a way on how to do it until Travis Knight showed up.
Speaking of which, Mr. Knight was also present at the premiere of his first live action movie directorial debut along with Mr. Michael Bay; who previously held the position for 5 movies.
The age-old question of whether the movie is a reboot or a prequel was also thrown in at the producers of the latest Transformers movie. The question was submitted by our very own transf0 representing his publication VReview.
Tom DeSanto stated the following:
“You have to wait and see and make your own judgement after you leave the theater. Or maybe I’ll pop online and we’ll discuss later.”
Hailee Steinfeld (Charlie Watson), John Cena (Agent Burns), Peter Cullen (Optimus Prime) and Dylan O’Brien (Bumblebee) were seen interacting with the fans and the press with huge smiles.
You can check out the video, after the jump. You can take a look at more photos at USA Today.

Big things coming from Paramount & Hasbro after reception of Bumblebee and predicted box office numbers vs. expenditures. Stay tuned. It is a good time to be a Transformers fan. Also, Lorenzo will probably not be going anywhere anytime soon (at least as of now).

So it looks like a new franchise has started. One that takes elements from the 07 film and G1

Preboot of course…

Interesting. So we're going straight to an ensemble movie? I wouldn't mind it as long as it utilizes a similar tone to Bumblebee.

There's always a new direction especially since AOE but they never started over
Well if he said it's a big movie then that's it but I doubt he knows at this moment honestly,he just has these ideas and stuff..

“Lorenzo Di Bonaventura said that he doesn't see Bumblebee as a way of starting Transformers over again, but rather a new direction for the series.”
Omg he’s so stupid.
primal789
Big movie next then?I mean..not sure he knows yet but..

Lorenzo is at again with the b.s.
The guy says it's not a reboot, but goes on to describe what it is…which is literally a reboot. He says he doesn't understand what it means, and it shows. Says he doesn't like the word and tries to dance around it, but he is literally describing a reboot.

Oh alright then.I guess people should say they watched it before asking haha
primal789
You should have told him you watched the movie and you thought it was nice but you are still confused about that lol

I don’t know why but people on this site claim that an Optimus Prime film script is finished even though they aren’t directly involved with Paramount.

That the studio doesn't currently have a Transformers movie in the works really tells you that that Paramount is still attempting to decide what they will do next. Warner Brothers has announced a hodgepodge of DC live action movies that may or may not ever get made. Universal was working towards a slew of monster movies for their Dark Universe before The Mummy crashed the whole thing right out of the gate. But no word yet on when we will get the next Transformers movie.
I guess people can't stand to just say I don't know or we don't have anything planned yet so they spin things around to make something out of nothing.

I've talked about this on Discord but not here;
I think this movie was half prequel half reboot from the start. If this movie does well they probably are planning to start a new rebooted franchise off its' back, but at the same time they didn't change too much to allow it to fade into obscurity as another entry in the Bayverse timeline if it didn't.
Honestly, I don't want this film to be in the Bayverse timeline. It's too different in tone and I'm gonna be frank
it's too good to be saddled down with the bullshit storytelling of the Bay era movies.
And this movie is more mature than the bay era films by a long shot. There's a certain immaturity to the Bay films I might make a discussion thread on about later, especially since I binge-watched them all leading up to watching BB just in case it was a prequel.
And as for the more "feminine" tone(It's not really feminine at all but that's what you're using so I'm using it to talk to you), I think it was sorely needed in comparison to the "drowning in axe body spray" machismo of the previous movies; it's literally like walking through a crowd of teenage boys in axe body spray and this movie is the feeling I get after finally getting to some fresh air.

It’s same no matter I get same thing on tablet
Your wife is exactly right it is kids movie made movie based on comic and cartoon series make live action based on cartoon series that is kids movie Chris reeves Superman movies comics and cartoon series kids movie same with marvel, dc, movies it’s exact reason new fans who became transformer fans because of bay will never ever watch cartoon transformers series they do not like cartoons they like live action some of those people are in my family at work they are new transformer fans from live action movies not cartoons, toys, comics they don’t read.
For me I never had hard time to identify bots in previous movies but everyone is different
