It was never a question of “If” but more of a question of “When”. Steve Jablonsky is officially on board as the composer of Transformers: The Last Knight.
As previously announced, Major Lazer will join Mr. Jablonsky for the soundtrack.
Speaking via his official Twitter account, Steve Jablonsky stated “Shhhhh…..secret folder. More later….” accompanied with an image of a folder titled “TF5 Theme Ideas“.
Steve Jablonsky worked as the composer of Transformers Live Action Movies since the first one back in 2007. It has been 10 years and he treated fans with some truly epic music over the decade. His recent work on the 2nd Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie this year (not to be confused with Secret Of The Ooze) treated TMNT Fans with an instrumental version of the iconic theme of the 80s.

They should bring back "The Knight Ship" and/or–even better–"The Final Knight" and make it even spookier. Still think those tracks are underrated.

Boo. sorry…but BOO. More musical wallpaper to dull the senses.

Fair enough!

Something interesting though regarding the knight stuff. If you listen to the score for King Arthur by Hans Zimmer, it can at times be extremely similar to the first Transformers film.
I think a nice halfway point between the music of movies 1-3 and 4 would be good.

Love this man. I hope they bring back Arrival to Earth and give it new life! It's still one of my favorite pieces of music of all time; it brings back so many memories
Livingdeaddan
Ahh man! With all this medieval crap, i really hope Turisas were gonna score TLK!!

Excellent news!
Love his work.

Great news!
I think the scores for the films are all equally good. I also hope the TF5 score is more like the AOE score than the scores of 1-3. TLK looks like it will continue with the Knight concept and Creators introduced in AOE. It also looks like TRF is likely a continuation of Cemetery Wind. The AOE Autobots and Dinobots are returning. All things put together, it would not make sense for TLK's score to be more like 2007's score.
Do I want it to be exactly like AOE's score? No. More like it than the scores of the first three films? Absolutely.

I'd like the feel of the 2007 music again

Very good news to hear. The scores are one of my favorite aspects of the movies and they have some of my favorite pieces of music of all time. Awesome!

I just hope he brings in more variety than last time. I think the AOE score didn't work as well as the others partially because he reused too many similar themes. Like, the melodies for Dinobot Charge and Decision are almost the same but at different tempos (I think…)! Oh and I like how Battle Cry was implemented into the score but damn he liked to put that song in almost EVERY scene! Too much! lol
Autovolt 127
Excellent.
I hope he can bring his A-Game for this one.

Not sure, I know I have Autobots Reunite from the official score, so it got added at some point.

I have always found Jablonsky's musical scores for the Transformers films to be the one consistent piece of quality that spans all four previous films (with only one or two tracks being unmemorable).
My favourite pieces of AoE are:
Decision
Tessa (from the EP)
Your Creators want you back (loved this theme for Lockdown)
Dinobot Charge
Leave Planet Earth Alone.

I'm truly admire how he feels Transformers, fiery passion of battles and touching depth of interaction between heroes… He's just music genius, it's unbelievable shame that he didn't get HOF award yet
Boy Blunder
Best damn part of the film series. Not at all surprised, but glad he's back.
Agreed. The only tracks that have really stuck with me are the 'Autobots Reunite' one, and Lockdown's theme – which, IIRC, neither of them were even on the initial score release.
fallen_revenge
I can't say I didn't see this coming, but still really excited.
Moy
From my memory, movie 1 and 3 had the best music/theme. This is good news
Sentinel
That's truly excellent. He's my favorite part about the movie franchise. He does great work and he was a genius with the first two films for sure. Glad to have him back.

Can‘t wait to hear it! I‘m sure it will be awesome just like the other 4!
