The next Masterpiece figure has dropped and is making his way to collectors all over the world, MP-25 Masterpiece Tracks! Tracks is a faithful upgrade to his G1 toy – classic Stingray Corvette, flight mode, and his iconic Autobot insignia flames on the hood. Robot mode is just as good, giving us his shoulder wings, backpack missiles and red/white head deco. Engineering is creative to get the sleek and tall robot he was in the show to tuck down into that Corvette silhouette. Accessories include his trusty pistol, a pretty great flight stand and a static Raoul and Blaster to celebrate the G1 episode Auto-Bop (Dancitron FTW!)
You can check out 70+ pics of him in action in our full gallery here: TFW2005’s MP-25 Masterpiece Tracks Full Gallery.
He’s out now and shipping, grab yours over at site sponsor TFSource: MP-25 Masterpiece Tracks @ TFSource.

I reckon the tab between the legs will break on mine one day. Already got the white strain of death. Otherwise only thing that really bothers me are the shiny pins…
So ugly.

got my tracks from amazon "brand new" but it has tapes over tapes..i didnt bother opening it. i will return it back and grab another one

that flipping symbol though… arggggh it didnt even need to flip, he had the symbol in both modes… oh well at least I just display my figures or it would bug me more.. but it is my biggest disappointment in the line so far, I can deal with astetics like a but flap or hip "kibble" but a freely rotating symbol is garbage, at least have a damn tab like Bee.. F-you Takara on that one

Love Tracks, a lot.
Granted, I have my Masterpieces on display and don't really mess around with them much. I definitely see the flaws, like the annoying tabbing in of the back on the doors, the weak tabs holding his torso to his shoulders… But as a display piece, he's a straight A. I don't mind the size of his wings, I don't mind his shins, I even don't mind the limited size of his missiles as much as I though I would.

My main issue with him is the tab at the front of the car holding the legs together – holy crap, that thing is tighter than a flea's arse, I honestly thought I was going to break him getting his legs apart.
Other than that, I do like the figure. The car mode is lovely and the paint job is glorious.
Underwear
Mine is rather tight. So far I've only rotated once & have no intention of doing it again (for fear of getting the paintjob scratched).

does everyones chest symbol rotate freely with no real locked position? That would be my only gripe.. besides that he's damn magnificent

Primo work!

one sexy bastard!

The wings close to the shoulder was likely intended due to the fact in all previous depictions they were attached to his shoulders… and I kind of wish they were attached here as well as it would have cured almost all the 'clearance issues'
Wings attached to the shoulders and a small square molded to the back pack armature to hold up the back of the head plate and he would have been much closer to perfect… although those large fake leg shin plates are annoying, even more so then Primes fake grill or bee's fake rear window.

I've got mixed feelings about Tracks. Overall he's a good figure. Pluses are sexy vehicle mode, the nice looking bot mode from most frontward angles, and really clever leg transformation. The foot articulation is also top notch; separate ankle tilt to the sides and transformation yielding about two more joints for the feet. Also there's some great rightcheting. Unfortunately I do feel there's some faults. While his doors do fill out his sides somewhat there's still visible hollowness around his shoulder area. On mine the chest seems to unpeg a little too easily. One other issue I have is the fact that in going from vehicle to robot, the screw/pin that holds his right arm pops out and the arms falls off. It's easy to screw in but I'm worried that the arm doing this already might not bode well in the long term. Also the way his wings end up so close to the shoulders is a bit annoying as it inhibits his arm artiulation. Overall still job well done, just there's things I feel weren't done as well as they could've been.
YUNGSEED
He's not a bad figure. I think just a little diecast in legs and feet would have been good. Also in the fore arms die cast. Hat dark grey would look awesome. He just needed some heft all around because he is tall figure. But over all he is an awesome addition to anyone's masterpiece g1 collection.

Excellent.

Gorgeous pixs. The lighting on this figure and poses are just beautiful. Great job Toby B.

Yeah, got mine in the mail this week, not too shabby, he feels a little skinny and light though.
Underwear
The head locks in place & the backpack tabs securely.

The alt mode is wonderful, but while fiddling with the transformation I think it is done in an awful fashion in robot mode.
In photos it looks pretty darn good. The paint is gorgeous and the I love the amount of color blocking. The problem comes in the bot mode, especially the head. It is flopping about and not really locking into place. That is the same with the backpack. It doesn't tab in, and just kind of hooking on to the torso. It is all floppy. I am a little disappointed really.

I love Tracks as a character and have alot if not all of his figures. This is why I really feel bad having to say this but this figure is just middle of the road ok. I really wanted to love it and considering soundwave prowl and his 2 brothers and wheeljack I thought they finally said hell cartoon accurate robot modes best way to go.
However the new designer taking over the reigns botches the job in so many small ways that you are left going … oh come on why didnt they just do this or that.
The Hood look feels like they just gave up trying its close but the wings get in the way of the shoulders and hoody just doesnt fit. The missles are a touch to small and wings a touch to big. The real killer though is the face. Where wheeljack and the datsuns and even bee were good the face went back to trying to be more toy and less cartoon accurate. That is the most unforgivable of the flaws. Knowing that the same designer is involved with iron hide I can see some of the careless panel covers and gaps in tracks are really just a sign of more to come. Iron hides hip kibble should of been made to slide up to fille the gaps above them while being more show accurateand increase posibility. I have just canceled my order for iron hide because it just doesnt feel like its going to be all that great.. good maybe but for the price i want great. Shockwave does seem to be an exception but ill wait for more pics.

Excellent photo work. I am loving Tracks.

It's not hard to see why Tracks loves himself, he does look gorgeous.
