Following our new Transformers: Cyberverse new stock photos, now Habro Website has uploaded another set of new stock images of new upcoming Transformers: Bumblebee Energon Igniters toys.
We have high quality images of the new Energon Igniters Nitro Series Dropkick and Blitzwing, revealing gimmicks, size and both modes. Additionally, we finally have clear images of the unexpected and recently revealed Power Series Ratchet which hit US shelves a few weeks ago. Finally, we have some nice surprises, with our first look at the Power Plus Series Soundwave and Ironhide. Soundwave comes in a mini-van alt mode, featuring a curious sticker on his sides showing a panther and an eagle. Reference to his old cassette partners?. On the other side, Ironhide is another new mold which seems based on his original 2007 live-action movie design, but adding some classic G1 red into the mix.
Check out all the mirrored images on this news post and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

I waiting for a scatter and dropkick triple changer…….wont hold my breath though.

Dropkick and Blitzwing look fantastic, the head sculpts are surprisingly detailed, and I like the playability with that engine gimmick for whatever reason. I like having toys that are still toys to balance out my super expensive “I’m too scared to transform cuz I’m afraid I’ll break them” collectors stuff.
They need to make Soundwave into a Deluxe or Voyager class cuz that A-Team like van, with cheesy air brush art on the sides, is genius.
Chaos Muffin
Blitzwing & Dropkick look good.
Wish Soundwave\'s boombox didnt have the igniter gimmick attached, would look cool in Titans Return SW\'s base mode.
primalxconvoy
Anyone noticed that Soundwave has got a \"ghetto BLASTER\" styled motor to power him?

I'm fairly sure someone's been keeping Ratchet chained in a basement.. how else in the world does he get so pale aside from being denied simple sunight!
T-Hybrid
Where did I say anything about these being poor quality.
It's not about being "poorly made." It's people bitching about "simple" figures.
Also, I take it you haven't looked at a modern wooden Thomas train compared to what they looked like even 10 years ago.

Ironhide and ratchet still looks like their movie designs in the first movie.
Soundwave is awesome.

It was mentioned before that Has/Tak did not get movie art to make some of these toys. HotRod, Optimus, Ironhide, and Ratchet are all previous film designs with 80's vehicles.
Personally, I like the G1 look in the movie better than these bay inspired figures, but I do like the vehicle mode concepts of them. Especially HotRod, I always pictured him being a Trans Am or something of that nature.
Ratchet is not bad, Ironhide… I now want to see a red minivan, but the pick up truck makes sense based off of what Has/Tak knew when designing these figures.
They were probably told, they're all going to have 80's alt modes and just ran with that.

That's the third time you've posted those watermarked sideways collages in this thread. Clearly nobody cares for that nonsense anymore.

I just don't think poor quality can be excused because it's for kids. Children will accept bad quality stuff blindly if that's all they're given. I feel like hot wheels and wooden trains are a poor example, though, because at least they're generally well made.
T-Hybrid
Then again kids also love playing with diecast Hot Wheels that cost like $4 and wooden trains that cost anywhere from 10-15 per car.

I get that these aren't designed for the collectors market, and are just for kids, but I feel like that's an insult towards kids. Dropkick and Blitzwing have definitely fared the best here, but the rest look like a knock off I'd see somewhere like poundland or B&M bargains.
Agree on that whole heartedly, though. Would love to get a few better quality Soundwaves with that van design

Dropkick looks AWESOME, a blast from the 80s! A must have!
Not Starscream doesn't look bad but prefer Dropkick. Loves the 80s style but I will wait for a sale to get him.
Flash1087
I know this is the reverse of what we've been griping about around here lately because of Studio Series and Siege, but I wish these were smaller! The only movie toys I've purchased were a few Legion sized guys for my desk and I would be thrilled to have these versions of Ratchet, Ironhide, and Soundwave at that size to go with Prime, Bumblebee, and Hot Rod.
Shark Jumper
Soundwave has some cool ideas like the engine block shaped like a boombox and the sleek design and cool van art homaging his two animal friends. Just wish we got a better version of this design as a deluxe or something.
We got the Siege Soundwave at least.

Ugh these are horrible , using a big block of plastic for what a single small button could do and need less space to do it most likely.
CookieMastah
Thius alt mode for Soundwave is genius! Finally something that fits his character
