Now that the latest issue of Empire magazine is out on the shelves, Paramount Pictures has sent us the official image featured on the magazine (which we previously saw from a scan) along with a small Press Release.
“On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. When Charlie revives him, she quickly learns this is no ordinary, yellow VW bug.
BUMBLEBEE is produced by “TRANSFORMERS” franchise veterans Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Michael Bay, along with executive producers Steven Spielberg, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian. Chris Brigham (“ARGO,” “INCEPTION”) will also executive produce. The screenplay is written by Christina Hodson (“UNFORGETTABLE”).
Directed by Travis Knight (“KUBO AND THE TWO STRINGS,” “CORALINE”), the film stars Hailee Steinfeld (“EDGE OF SEVENTEEN”), Pamela Adlon (“BETTER THINGS,””LOUIE”), John Cena (“DADDY’S HOME 2,” “TRAINWRECK”), Stephen Schneider (Comedy Central’s “BROAD CITY”), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (“SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING”), Jason Drucker (“DIARY OF A WIMPY KID: THE LONG HAUL”), Kenneth Choi (“AMERICAN CRIME STORY”), Ricardo Hoyos (“DEGRASSI: NEXT CLASS”), Abby Quinn (“LANDLINE,” “THE SISTERHOOD OF THE NIGHT”), Rachel Crow (“DEIDRA & LANEY ROB A TRAIN”), and Grace Dzienny (“ZOO”).

Also my Opinion. I will not watch this Movie in Theater, but on Blu Ray then.
Bumblebee is not that much Important to me, that i sit down and watch 2 Hours without him able to speak.
I hate the Radio. I always did. I know Michael Bay and Crew LOVED his Radio Voice, but concerning his Voice, they are
real assholes. 5 Movies with a Radio Speaking Robot = NOT FUNNY.
I really hope, that he keeps his Voice in 2019 Movie, since he got it back in the End of TLK.
But i really did not understand in TLK if he really got his Voice Back because of the Staff OR if he just forced himself to
speak just like he did in TF1.
But i will not watch Bumblebee Movie, not interested in that stupid steinfield Girl, or 2 Hour Radio Voice Action. Prequel Movies never really caught my Interest.

Okay had not heard that bit, but they have released false info before. My hope is that this could be considered a reboot possibility…..the bay movies were pretty enjoyable but I want some more robot designs that are, well, not so "alien". The first one was really good, the others are just not as enjoyable…..my opinion though.

For the love of fr*cking fuck, I won't be able to stand two hours focused on his speaking-through-the-radio antics. Although it would be a relief for Bumblebee to have a normal voice, it would be a big plot hole, since he hasn't spoken "since Cybertron fell." I wouldn't put it past the writers to completely forget about that, though.

I actually get sad every time I see a Marvel movie, because I think of how bad Transformers movies are in comparison.
Dinobot Snarl
I could stomach this movie if, Bee starts with a face and a voice and we get to see Megatron, Starscream or Lockdown take it away from him. Then I might be a little interested in these terrible movies.
It's just, (In addition to terrible plots racist charactures toilet humor, vicious Prime, unrecognizable transformers and transformers that disappear from the movies with zero explaination) Bumblebee looks plain aweful all the time.
Majestic Senzu
Once upon a time, that is what constituted a reboot for me as well. But since Days of Future Past and AOE, which were "soft" reboots, the definition has changed for me. Now, it means: "anytime the people behind the scenes change directions mid-execution of a movie franchise".
Glad to have a discussion with you about this! Gets those brain juices flowing.
Also, to my knowledge, Bumblebee got his vocal processor destroyed by Megatron during the battle of Tyger Pax (???) on Cybertron. I think the movie comics and some of Ratchet's dialogue in TF2007 explained this, but I don't 100% recall. Either way, I too would enjoy some more explanation from this upcoming movie.
iuJacob
But what myself and other are suggesting is a soft reboot. They will keep some of the elements, but build a new world off of them.
At the end of the day none of us knows for sure. It's just speculation based on the direction they seem to be taking with this movie.

For Reboot:
Oh okay, if you mean this ^ by "Reboot" than it may be one.
For me a Reboot would be, if Movie Optimus Prime would suddenly look AND Act
different….if his Design would change from "Realistic" to "G1" from on to the other Movie. That would be a Reboot for me.
For me Reboot means, that ALL Characters Changed (Design and Character), and the Movies have nothing to do with the others.
Spider Man, Amazing Spider Man, Spider Man Homecoming are the best example for this. That is what is a real Reboot for me.
For AoE:
But since Optimus is all around, Bumblebee also, and they even explain why they are hunted after TF3, i never thought of a Reboot idea.
Because they explained everything EXCEPT what happened to Sam. They never really said that HE is dead.
I always just thought: Sam got a new Job now + married his Girlfriend = lives a normal Life > Autobots being hunted
right after this.
Bumblebee Movie:
Yes with Bumblebee Change, i meant the Head and Character. Of Course his Body was also different in WWII Scene.
What i really want to see in Bumblebee Movie, If they explain how he lost his Voice.
Does he speak in the Beginning? Does he lose the Voice on the End of Movie?
That is the only thing iam really interested in. Hope they explain that.
Majestic Senzu
Reminds me of how Rocket and Groot communicate.
*throws radio*
"You're right, Bumblebee, we need to get the jump on Megatron!"
iuJacob
Yeah… Bee and those radios. He just keeps throwing them out the window! Such a strange way to try and communicate…
johndoe4880
we know one thing about this movie but Bumble bee probally won't talk or if he does threw the radio again. I hope they hire mark ryan i like him as bees Voice not the other guy as bee in the last knight
Majestic Senzu
More or less…well…I could un-joke it. *Snaps fingers*
How did you find out that Bee's Robot Mode is the same? A Camaro-based Robot and a Beetle-based Robot are the same to you?? Are there pics of robot mode that I missed?
Look, I'm just saying a VW Beetle and a Chevy Camaro don't have remotely the same build, so some parts will change (LIKE THE BODY) but things like the head will stay the same.
Didn't suggest (personally) an entire reboot, though I'm sure somebody in the board room meetings at Hasbro or Paramount was like "Let's pull a Spider-Man!".
We say "reboot" because the humans and like, most of the robots, disappeared without any context other than "Chicago fallout". The head was a gag, and isn't accurate if you actually WATCHED DOTM.
Doesn't mean they can't retcon in-universe. Look at Batman V. Superman and Justice League for an idea of what that looks like. Or, you know, AOE and TLK. Hell, look at Transformers IDW.
Um…what? The movies may be connected tangentially to the Avengers, except Civil War which IS Avengers for all intents and purposes, but…actually, I don't know what you mean by this. And the other stuff I left out.
iuJacob
I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be a joke mate.
Sephiroth169
that is want i meant.
Concerning "Even Bee is a new Actor". No he is not. As far as i know, he has multiple Vehicle Modes during the Movie, and one of
them is the classic Bettle Car. But the Robot Mode is still the same (Head and Body Design as always).
An "Entire Reboot" is again (Just like the time travel Plot of the Last Knight from Fans) just someone elses Fantasy.
Just a useless theory inside the Heads of some Fans or Geewunners.
Many people also said, that TF4 AoE was a Reboot and had nothing to do with TF 1-3.
This was also not the case. Because Hasbro said AoE was a Sequel AND an Recap of Chicago Battle was shown in the Beginning of AoE.
Hell, Megatron even held Starscreams DEAD Head from TF3 in his Hands in The Last Knight.
Same here again. As long as there is no officially Word from Hasbro and Paramount like
"Next 2 Movies will be complete Reboot and they have nothing to do with previous Movies"
THEN it is one.
But from what i understood, Paramount announced long Ago, Bumblebee was planned as Prequel
and 2019 Movie is planned as the Unicron Battle / Quintessa Sequel Plot.
There is a Reason why their Movies are have the Title: Transformers Universe..
because you know…just like DC Universe and Marvel Universe.
The Movies take place in the same….Universe
It is the same thing as you would say:
"Captain America Movies or Civil War Movie has nothing to do with Avengers"
A Complete wrong Opinion, and just a Fantasy statement inside someones Head.
User_136440
I think that was meant to mean that Paramount would’ve already said if they’re rebooting, but they haven’t, hence it’s not the case that this is a reboot.
Mattymo
Hold on let me call Hasbro and Paramount and see if they can answer these questions.
Dinobot Snarl
Two Questions
1 Paramount said they're rebooting officially?
2 if 1 is true than why is it "NOT THE CASE?"
Windsweeper II
I doubt she'll sing in the movie, but she might get the closing credits and a few songs on the OST. If they release one.
Mattymo
How…does your brain work in that way?
MrOliveira
Yey! Nice, another robot movie about humans…. They just don\'t get it. Wish Marvel would make Transformers.
