Looks like another Takara Legend is due for reissue, as TFW2005 member jackisking brings us news of LG-EX Metroplex being slated for early 2018 release for 27,000 yen!
If you missed out on the Takara TG-23 Metroplex figure in 2013, will you be adding this to your collection? Check out our galleries of close cousins Hasbro Generations and SDCC Metroplex, see the LG-EX pictures after the jump then sound off on the 2005 boards!

Hello, just out of curiosity for anyone who has this figure, are the hip and knee joints generally tighter on this legends Metroplex than they are on the hasbro version? Specifically the one that was sold at SDCC. The one I have from SDCC appears to have incredibly loose hip and knee joints.

In Scramble city he used one gun in his hand, in G1 I don't recall ever seeing them. His fights with Trypticon were mostly brawls.

Hey does anyone know whether Metroplex used his two big red guns in the G1 toon, and if so, what the configuration was? (one on his shoulder, one in-hand, etc?) … thx a ton!

Its Wei Jiang Ultima Guard

That's one sexy-ass Omega Supreme!
Which one is that?

This Metroplex has good ratchets in the legs where Fort Max are really loose, well on mine they are. I think they improved on the ratchets.

Is there a high possibility of improving the stability issue on these re-issue cases?

Both kits(hands set & ratchets/feet set) will work with any version of titan size Metroplex.

For those who have Metroplex, I see there is an upgrade kit for him. Which version does the upgrade apply to?

…the original G1 figures didn't quite see eye-to-eye, either…
VenomGTSR
As others have said, they work fairly well together. I would say both have the same overall mass, it’s just that Trypticon carries a lot of it in his tail. I keep mine in a more aggressive pose so the height difference doesn’t bother me.

Here is a pic of the two, I will take a pic with Ultima/Omega an Fort Max when I get home tomorrow.

you can check previous page (page 14) for comparison pictures, metroplex is obviously ok and in scale, just a head above trypticon.

People unsatisfied with how the current Metroplex and Trypticon scale to each other are people who want them to be eye to eye. This isn't going to happen because of Trypticon's different build and posture, as well as Hasbro's constraints on the amount of plastic they can use for each price point.
So if you are fine with Metroplex and Trypticon "simply" looking good as proper rivals, despite one of them being shorter, you'll be fine with the current Metroplex. Don't wait for a new version that won't come out in years, if ever, and will likely be the same size as this one.

I had the SDCC/HK version. I didn't think the legs were floppy. The joints had standard fitness. I didn't have problems posing him.

It is, people saying that are being pedantic because titans return trypticon is a bit shorter than metroplex. Generations is not about replicating sunbow scale 100% accurately
