Usually I'm drooling together with you, guys, but since I don't like Megatron, I look to him more calmly Yeah his design is really gorgeous, thanks to Josh Nizzi! This ribbed "gothic" armor is very interesting and makes a mild contrast with Autobots style. Plus asymmetric forms and burly looking makes him similar to gladiator. I admire the work of Prime1 studio – not only the shape, but also painting, shining and poses, angle on photos of the statues are just PERFECT!!!

Since practical effects are the best, why are'nt we using these statues in the movies instead of the cg stuff ?
These look better, and you can tell they're real.

Yep

I can relate to what he is saying he wasn't saying it looks exactly the same and I'm pretty sure he only highlighted the G1 above ankles to highlight that one part, so it didn't confuse anyone whay he was actually pointing out without having to talk. And I saw what he was saying right away. And he was pointing out the bucket shaped helmet. He's not the only one that thinks that brought alot of G1 into this design, and I'm not the only one either. Lots of people think and claimed it on day one of showing part of him. And ever since then too.

The Bayverse Megatron has never looked better than this.
I don't know if the movie will be any good, but at least Prime and Megatron look great.

I mean, he just looks so… Dare I say, resplendent? For the past three films that Megatron himself was in, he never truly matched Prime in terms of a having a very rounded, and "elegant" appearance. Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoyed all three of Megatron's different looks in each film, but his TLK self just completely knocks those out of the water in every way possible, and hell, even other incarnations for that matter.
We now have a Megatron who has an appearance that clearly portrays a massive sense of power, but in a way that is a lot more… Graceful. He now looks and feels important, and that he could command an entire room without even spouting a single word. Megatron could now probably convince me to join the Deception cause, just from his new looks alone. He no longer looks like a giant, metal, and snarling monster; the fangs themselves even look more refined and jewel-like. Megatron DEFINITELY rivals, if not beats out Optimus in some areas when it comes to their appearance. I could honestly stare at those pictures for hours and find new things that I hadn't seen previously. With the face plate on, Megatron just seems to transform (no pun intended), into an entirely different character. Without the face plate, he is the cold, merciless, and harsh Decepticon lord who strikes fear into his men through his voice alone. With the mask on, Megatron turns into this regal, almost Olympian, and gracefully powerful knight whose actions speak much louder than his words.
A nigh perfect design, and I cannot wait to get both of my statues into my house. There will be one to go alongside my Prime 1 AOE Optimus, and the other will stand tall in my wife and I's bedroom beside 3A Screamer. I'll probably be staring at Megatron for days and not even realize it .

Took Five terrible movies but MegaTron finally gets the proper representation hes been owed for years.

Looks good as a reference for custom paint jobs on the regular version, but it\'s obviously too expensive to be relevant for most people.
Also, the lack of \"robot\" style parts, although intentional and relevant to the film, seem to give the impression that this figure represents a generic video game character/bad guy troop from some online shooter (as it looks like \"someone in armour\", which, as stated, is part of the intention).
I suppose, without anything to reference it against, it doesn\'t seem to look like a giant, transforming robot.

Don't Sideshow let you pay in installments?
Omega Charge
I must see one of these things in person one day. Until then, I can only be 99% convinced that these aren't just official bits of CGI photoshopped into various settings. Incredible.
BR3AKDOWN
The gold accents really make this statue pop.
VortexPrime
To me is the one that resemble a foot under armor/ankle guards like it was in the G1 version the most, anyway I don't want to start an useless discussion and I see that both of us love this design, I just thought that was a cool touch.

We used to get these nice high-resolution CGI renders of everyone. I'm not sure why they stopped.
SPLIT LIP
Kinda? I mean a static statue is always going to be easier to read than a moving version. Just look at superhero costumes.
Though I understood Megatron's design the firts time we saw it. The statue just reaffirms my love for it.
It's not really. If anything ROTF is the closest because it lacks toes, but none of the movie Megatron feet are even close to G1 Megatron's.
VortexPrime
With that I meant that this is the closest we've got to a G1 foot for Megatron, and the smartest way to make it work in a realistic style.

without metal bending like in TF Prime

I'm still holding out for the BW Megatron statue

Anyone else find it sad that this studio seems to give us a better visual understanding of these characters than the films do?
Their statue of Galvatron had me examining every picture, trying to figure out how they had \'constructed\' him.
Megatron118
Looks great but definitely out of my price range by a large amount

This comparison makes me laugh, no offence or anything. You just highlighted all the corresponding body parts regardless of if they actually match the shape of G1 Megs. You could literally do that with anyone except for the arm cannon.
Hell, you highlighted the ankle guards on TLK Megs and then just put a green blob over G1 Megatron's ankles like that means anything. I'm not saying I dislike the design at all, but the comparisons to G1 Megs are pretty loose. Hell, it only resembles Prime Megs because both he and this one are just more simplified versions of Movie Megatron with an arm cannon, I wouldn't even call that a deliberate homage. The only thing TLK Megs really has in common with G1 Megs are the shapes that compose the face. The similar triangular cheeks and straight nose, etc. But even that could just be coincidence of just being a robot face.
