Via Autobase Aichi, we can share some official images of Takara-Tomy’s October releases for the Transformers Adventure line. October brings four new releases to the Japanese version of Robots in Disguise – Hypersurge Starscream with Lancelon, the Japanese release of Power Surge Starscream, Gale Armor Sideswipe with Windstrike (Japanese release of the Sideswipe and Windstrike Weaponizer pack), Ratchet, and Bisk. All four are looking great, in particular Starscream’s partner Lancelon looks excellent in his golden armor. Check out all of the images attached to this post.

This line has been real hit and miss, hopefully this is a hit!

I've thought about things though; the additional paint isn't overwhelming (unlike Generations Skids), and since I also want to try my hand at doing a custom, comic-accurate paint job I may opt for the Hasbro release instead.
I regret not picking the two-pack up when I was out in Japan several months ago, even when I saw it on every shelf that I shopped for toys. In addition to the more colorful Drift (I agree, more MTMTE-ness than the Generations figure), the visor retool on Jazz makes me take back the rant I gave to my brother when we watched his debut episode together. And said Jazz would be matched up against my Arms Micron Soundwave, thus restoring balance to my collection. I currently have (in order I obtained them) Toys R Us reissue Soundwave, Takara Encore Jazz, Special Ops Jazz, War for Cybertron Soundwave, and the aforementioned Prime Soundwave.
// sorry if I digress, I'm homesick and without my siblings around I'm starting to appreciate online discussion about my toy hobby

So anyone have any clues based on previous experience as to whenabouts in September we can expect the Hasbro Ratchet and Bisk? Is it legit to set up a new thread for reviews of them when they emerge or is there already one anyone knows of (I couldn't find one)?

It's part of the transformation for this mold, helps in locking shoulders in place. For Strongarm it also makes for hidden weapon storage in vehicle mode (there's a 5mm hole to store her gun once the chestplate is folded down, but Ratchet's guns won't be compatible with this).
rlmiddleton
Haha, glad to see I'm not the only one who will be pairing him up with Origins Drift.
shamanking282
That's exactly what I'll be doing with mine. He can hang out with Origin Drift, who also has a decent amount of MTMTE-ness to him.

I think it's that talking Starscream toy people were talking about months ago.

So why (again) does Strongarm/Ratchet have a fold down chest???!? It's not really a part of the transformation – unless you count the view from the bottom with it folded down…. ? …
Are they Matrix Bearers?

Wow Ratchet looks pretty blah in vehicle mode, I expected better from Takara.
Afterburner
Ratchet is forever doomed to have absolutely terrible looking vehicle modes (outside of the reissue and MP). They haven't done a good one in a long time. Even the movie versions never had a clear lightbar.
Fasttrack
Ratchet preorders are back up on HLJ
Bisk is still pre-sold out
EDIT- ratchet is out of stock again now, I managed to snag a pre-order
The extra paint apps in ratchet's robot mode really make it pop. Shane about the vehicle mode
Still can't tell what has changed with Bisk. Will give him a closer look soon
Alterator
Ugh. Checked HLJ yesterday afternoon, nothing. Checked just now, and Bisk & Ratchet are up… and already pre-sold out. Now I have to haunt the site if I want to hopefully get in on a preorder (like I did with Windblade & Nemesis Prime).
WhiteMocha
I dunno… objectively speaking, I actually think our white "Red Alert" Sideswipe deco was cooler than this clear version.
Bisk looks great. Ratchet looks nice in robot mode, but his vehicle mode needs reprolabels something fierce.
LegoLover58
Trans red plastic? Damn, Japan gets all the cool ones!
slugslinger2004
Hate that I missed Bisk and Ratchet on HLJ.
I am surprised that Takara did not add any additional paint to Ratchet's vehicle mode, but the robot mode looks great.
I'll settle for the Hasbro releases of both and have the paint and Reprolabels ready for Ratchet.
Haywired
Yeah, I usually don't mix NuRID figures with Generations but for this one I'll do an exception.

Bisk looks amazing. Aside from the ugly sticker that is.
Screamers' wings look like a cape to me though. Can't shake off that ruler vibe.
rlmiddleton
100% yes. I don't watch RID but am really stoked about this release to add to my MTMTE toy collection.

I find it weird that with the Minicon two-pack releases, they re-released them in those Supreme Armor sets (TAV44-45) where the minicons and the plastic armor bits were different from the previous releases (TAV40-43), but the Scoutish figures themselves weren't different at all…yet with this Hayate Armor Sideswipe, we finally get a different release in clear plastic, even when they could've just gone with Red Alertish colors like Hasbro did on their redeco.
Don't get me wrong, this clear Sideswipe looks sharp, but we should've gotten this or something like it (metallic painted versions, a la United/Takara Animated?) as part of those Supreme Armor sets.
I did miss out on Bisk when AmiAmi put it up earlier tonight, so hopefully I can catch it when it reopens later on.
BB Shockwave
Bisk looks awesome. And love Ratchet, great colors. Does he have guns, or some medical equipment like Animated Cybertron mode Ratchet?
And yes, he is heavily based on the IDW redesign instead of the Prime model – I don't mind as I really hated the Prime toy.
He was, twice, but it's barely visible. Once in his first appearance in S1E02, the other time is when Steeljaw frees him in Season 2 and he transforms with the rest of the freed Cons.
