2005 Boards member S250 has posted three Transformers Animated animation models. These models are from the production of the third season of the show. Shown are the vehicle mode models of Ultra Magnus and Highbrow (both seen, albeit briefly, in the season premiere Transwarped). Also shown is the model of a character who did not make the cut – Reflector. Reflector is an update of his original Generation 1 cartoon show design, with the ability to make copies as needed to fill out crowd scenes! Check out all three models by clicking on the title of this story.

Awww…I was not a fan of animated at all. But even I would have bought a Reflector in a heartbeat! That is, if he was a camera.

The feet look different. They probably had to make them from scratch. Everything else is identical though.

i miss animated
these would of looked so cool in the show
Incepticon
My first biggest hope with Animated was that we'd get Shockwave. And we did, complete with Burton voicing him again and the character turning into a bonafied badass that quickly ended up being one of the best Decepticon villains ever.
My second biggest hope was that we'd get Brawn. And then we did. Apparently he would have been voiced by Burton again as well if the series lasted long enough to let him speak.
My third biggest hope was that we'd get Reflector, so I'm pretty sure I would have blacked out from awesome overload if he/they managed to make it into the show. The fact that they were even thought of again AND drawn out for character designs is just more proof of how insanely on the ball the writers & artists behind this series were. I love how they were able to stick with the usual mainstay characters, but were savvy enough to include and/or reinvent some of secondary players like Brawn, Warpath (best Animated re-design ever imo), Tracks, Reflector, Powerglide, etc etc etc.
God I miss this show.

Sweet! Now there MUST be one!

Cool! Thanks for the info, Jim.

If we get to do an AllSpark Almanac II, Reflector and Highbrow will both get a full page, with bio, in it. I'll also probably cover the storyboards for Reflector's cut scene from Transwarped.

Ktulu
Exactly as it should be.

Ding dong, troll alert.
I wish people would stop using this 'argument'.
Granted, it's less hard work than creating a superdetailed robot, but people that keep saying this fail in having any comprehension of the amount of work it takes to bring CHARACTER into these over-stylized cartoons.
It's not like they drew a random Optimus or Bumblebee on a napkin and used it.
Any idiot can whip up a cartoon character, yes, but not any idiot can make it look good. Plus, it's a background character based on a G1 character that was the same amount of dull looks-wise..what would you expect?
Superquad7
Awesome designs!
I'm curious as to the need to change Highbrow's alt mode into a tank. I've always thought a helicopter-type vehicle suited him just fine. Alias, that's the geewuner in me talking.
Ravage Biscuits
So there is hope that one day they might use Reflector.

Thank God Animated died so quickly. That face image on the TFW page looks like something a five year old could have drawn.
Feralstorm
Wyatt sure loves him some "tread legs" on his Cybertronian vehicles.
Anguirus
^ I think Wyatt or someone implied that Shockwave bumped him off.
SPLIT LIP
Well, he can't be a helicopter, because Autobots don't fly.
HybridMaximus
wow i wonder what happened to highbrow.
grimmlock
yes i agree. I remember when i first saw the leaked images of the art. I didn't really care for it. but once i saw the first episode and the story and great character developement it had, i was hooked.
Why did it have to end??????
