The highly anticipated Transformers Studio Series SS-109 Leader Class Bumblebee Movie Concept Art Megatron was available for sale at Singapore Comic Con 2023, and it didn’t take long for us to get our first in-hand images of this figure.
Thanks to 2005 Boards member Jhund and Instagram user @joanne_ying79 we have clear shots of Studio Series Bumblebee movie Megatron. Robot mode has got presence and a wide articulation range which includes butterfly joints. We have comparison shots next to several Studio Series toys which let us see that Megatron is quiete a big Leader class figure as tall as Studio Series DOTM Shockwave. We also have some extra images in his Cybertronian tank and jet modes.
Update: Additional images of tank and space ship alt modes thanks to 2005 Boards member Jhund

If only SS-109 was easier to get and didn't take long whiles to ship…

Since Megatron wasn't available for the Bumblebee movie, he decided to take up modeling instead. View attachment 30340797 View attachment 30340798 View attachment 30340799 View attachment 30340800 View attachment 30340801 View attachment 30340802

The only one I considered was the morning star. The swords look okay, but the star makes the most sense.

Personally I would go with the second sword

I'm not too fussed about the barrel for the fusion cannon but I'm quite split on which handheld weapon I would get for Megatron. Either the one of the swords or the mace.View attachment 30338157 View attachment 30338158 View attachment 30338159

I think if he was bigger, by about an 1"/2.5cm he would be perfect.

Okay, I know that I've gone on and on and on and on for God knows how long that the APC Toys Dark Master aka Transformers Prime Megatron has been my favourite and holds a special place in my heart on a personal level.
But ever since I've got my hands on the Studio series Bumblebee movie Megatron, I feel like that may change and that he might become a new personal favourite of mine and that for me at least it feels like a culmination of everything I love about Megatron.
With the alien jet mode, a tank mode, the gladiatorial vibe inspired by TF Prime Megatron, the outstanding amounts of paint and details and the crazy amounts of articulation and poses, the live action aesthetic and that it somehow reminds me of that ultimate battle 2 pack that me and my brother had back in the day.

My new copy of Bumblebee movie Megatron arrived today and I'd say he's 90% perfect, mainly because his right hand wrist, right shoulder and both butterfly joints are just a tiny wee bit loose. Any solutions?View attachment 30325859 View attachment 30325860
Chase Smite
Ah okay, fair enough.
Fenrys
Nah, Baiwei is including an adapter with their 102 ko that lets Prime use the jetpack from their DOTM trailer, I don't think using 109 as a jetpack requires an adapter, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Chase Smite
The one that's compatible with 109?
Also just curious, how's the overall quality and playability on it?
Fenrys
Though admittedly, I will be getting the Baiwei Prime KO, purely for the jetwing backpack adapter
Chase Smite
Hell yeah
Fenrys
Agreed, SS-102 and SS-109 are the only live action Optimus and Megatron that I'll need
Chase Smite
Definitely, he's just perfect for me.
Dachande
Yep, the Mega one is interesting, but I would never want one. SS109 is all I need for a movie Megatron.
Chase Smite
I'm going to be one of the few people who prefers Studio series 109 over Megatank. Only because I had an absolute blast with 109 and his transformation, possibility and articulation was pure gold.
