Is it abnormal this hasn't hit Hasbro Pulse yet?

A Bee re-issue would be nice since one of my little cousing was playing with it without my permission (I was sleeping and my folks didn't tell me anything), the result was both those little yellow pieces near his neck ending up lost.
But I would even take the classic camaro mode aswell be it from TF1 or ROTB.

Asking the real question here xD

Wait what…
Will it atleast be available at BBTS ?

if it needs a term I’d just call it “hollow syndrome” but this is a strange topic for a figure that doesn’t have any hollow spaces
octobotimus
The term doesn’t even roll off the tongue, that’s like step 1 of getting something to catch.

Yeah CHPS (I disliked typing that) isn't a thing and people really need to stop trying to make it a thing. Regardless, MPM Ratchet is a three year old mold and doesn't have that "issue" to begin with.
Throway
It's hilarious as well because this mold is years older than the term. We know Ratchet is well made already
TF Hot Rod
Can we stop trying to make this a term?
Throway
That ain't catching on. Go complain somewhere else.

I think he looks really cool, love the colors and general design but being a Tomy product I’m very concerned of QC issues.
The cheap hollow plastic syndrome escalated to the so called masterpiece line a long time ago, so I’m expecting CHPS issues. Not sure if to preorder it, it could be better to wait for some reviews.
I was pretty excited with the masterpiece Jetfire and it was a fiasco at the end.

If you ever decide to, its very easy! Pretty much works exactly like Amazon US, even the two-day shipping can still apply despite coming from Japan. I feel like its been more like 3 days lately instead of 2, but it all gets here quickly. I've been using it since 2019 with MP figures and I do not regret it one bit!
The pricing is a bit odd regardless of the usual NA retailer price hike, thats for sure. I couldn't even begin to speculate on why.
octobotimus
True, I’ve just never ordered from there so I’m not sure how that works. It’s just weird because BBTS currently has starscream for $170. So you’d think ratchet would be less even at NA retailers. Maybe BBTS being partnered will get a better price for ratchet?
zark225
To be fair, if you get it from Amazon Japan, which really is what anyone buying MPs should do as long as its not a TakaraTomy mall exclusive, the base price is currently at 17,098 Yen which is $115 USD. Amazon Japan does have a shipping charge which usually adds a decent bit unfortunately, right now for me its showing as 20,859 Yen/$141 USD.
I'm not saying you can't be upset by NA retailers having higher prices, but that is usually the case, especially with MPs, and there are other options like Amazon Japan.
octobotimus
Starscream repaint was only $10 more than the original retail price, at NA retailers as well. Why should ratchet be $50 more than the original retail price if both released together?
Following ROTF starscream’s pricing Ratchet should be $130 not $170.
jackisking
Why would the price be better when its a Takara release. MSRP-> $conversion is pretty much the price for a Takara only release.
octobotimus
So much for the price being better when NA retailers start putting it up. Thats a downer

True. Indeed how the MPM borrowed from the ROTF desgin. I didn't say they were accurate. I should expand and say they feel better than MPM. I agree that there needs to be less torso and more legs focus for a future MPM Redo. I should have clarified that maybe the MPM should have also copied more of the torso engineering from ROTH, especially how it led to those sweet butterfly joints. I can imagine that they can keep the torso shell/ cavities, and instead of a batteries and electronics, we get more back kibble folding, stronger butterfly joints.
Another thing I love about ROTF Leader is his "Breathing" Articulation, or chest pump up gimmick.
I do love how that MPM upper legs ended up.
