Courtesy of 2005 Boards member DubV we can share for you our first in-hand images of the new Super 7 Transformers Ultimates Wave 2 G1 Bludgeon.
This figure is part of Super 7 Ultimates Transformers Wave 2 non-transformable action figures together with Grimlock, Megatron and Tracks. Bludgeon features a very nice sculpt which really catches the classic G1 design of the character. Articulation is a mix of wide and limited range of movement due to the samurai armor parts. We have images of the packaging, robot and accessories plus comparison shots with some modern transforming toys.
Update: Additional images of the heads and helmets (you can swap toy and comic heads and helmets) thanks to DubV and more in-hand images next to Ultimates Banzaitron thanks to Shatterpoint.
See the images, as well as DubV comments on this new Bludgeon incarnation, after the jump. Share your thoughts on the 2005 Boards!

I watched the video and the figure looks very cool. He also posted Megatron ✌️

Oh yeah Tracks I mean… I confused the names. Maybe that's why I don't find any videos…
Jeddostotle7
Smokescreen…? Do you mean Tracks?
RoadPigJohn
So far I have only seen reviews of Megatron and Grimlock from this wave… Does anybody know about a Smokescreen review?

Just sounds like a Kapow issue! I hope they remember you, I want some awesome gifs with Bludgeon

Ah ok, cheers bud! I've discovered Kapow have updated their website since my preorder was made, and as a result the order no longer shows in my account! Hopefully that isn't an issue…

Aaah ok that makes sense then. Slightly less funny now, but still thankful for the chuckle this morning

Super7 has their own toyline of original characters called “The Worst”
The Worst ULTIMATES! Wave 2 Figures

That’s hilarious! How could that happen?

As far as we know it’s only BBTS who have gotten their shipment even before the official Super7 store got theirs.

I *NEED* Prowl's Turbo Cycle, scaled to a deluxe Prowl figure. But I want it released in mainline aesthetic, not as a Super7 thing.

Anyone here ordered wave 2 from Kapow in the UK? I'm just wondering if they've had, or are due, their stock yet. I preordered Bludgeon from them literally years ago, and seeing in-hand pics is making me wonder how much longer I have to wait!

This gets close to my own opinion. As I've said elsewhere, Action Masters, to me, means something far more specific than simply "non-transforming Transformers." If they didn't get close to the <4" scale, an update would hold no appeal to me whatsoever.
I'm not opposed to better articulation, but I also note that other figures of this size currently on the market (let's ignore the overpriced ReAction figures) are already at about the same price point as Core class figures. I'm more impressed that Core class figures even have transformations when I look at that comparison!
It does seem to me, unfortunately, that we're probably talking about doing away with the transforming partners, even in our theoretical Action Master non-transforming figure updates (a couple of recent comments notwithstanding). That's a pity, because the play pattern with transforming accessories and playsets is the other main thing that makes Action Masters appealing, to me.

That’s what she said?

Welcome to Super7 standard.

I purchased Ultimates Bludgeon. It looks great and the accessories are neat. I can live with the articulation. My helmets even fit on the heads okay. But the figure's limbs are SO floppy and loose. It makes it difficult to pose or accessorize the figure as he flops around like a ragdoll. Such poor quality control and very frustrating. Does anyone else have this issue with their Bludgeon?
