Transformers Rescue Bots Academy Ratchet Found At US Retail

Nifty, but honestly I wish we'd get that plane Heatwave more, since that one's a brand new mold.

I'll have to start checking Walgreens when I'm out, my local Walmarts and Targets don't seem to carry Rescue Bots anymore.

The back of the vehicle mode not closing just right has always been an issue with that mold.

Entertainment Earth has listings for the two RB waves containing Ratchet, Optimus Primal and new Grimlock, so I'm holding out hope that they'll be found at retail.

I hate to admit it, but I’m a big Rescue Bots fanboy. They’re everything robotics and our future should be about; hyper advanced tech devoted to safety and seamlessly integrated into a small walkable town with a Main Street and a traditional drive-in. Also they’re cute without feeling “not like Transformers” (they do occasionally touch on serious issues; one of the episodes has Whirl freaking out about how humans in strange towns would view alien rescue workers, including explicitly mentioning “pitchforks.”)

Est 1989 so I didn’t even come close to growing up with them.

I forgot all about this. I hope he goes up for sale in the US…

Now out in Australia… Ratchet. Which was a real surprise.
(also shows five of the 6 toys in that master carton wave, as Ratchet should be the only new one, but one toy was already gone)
The interesting thing to notice with this RB Ambulance mold, is that each of its three different uses had a different head.

It's neat to see new tooling still being done for this line. Wish we could get a Rescan-sized car Medix from the Bumblebee mold and a reissue of boat Hot Shot.

Ratchet was on the show?? *googles* And he wasn’t voiced by Jefferey Combs?? Was this the same continuity as the previous Rescue Bots?

He's meant to be based on the Cyberverse Ratchet, just like how Bumblebee,Perceptor and the horrific looking Optimus Prime were all based on their Cyberverse designs instead of their Rescue Bots/Prime designs

rescue bots academy is in the same continuity as rescue bots and prime so its prime ratchet but not voiced by jeffrey combs.
none of the returning characters were voiced by their original prime/rb actors.
they used the same voice acting pool as cyberverse so rba optimus and bumblebee have the same voice actors as cyberverse optimus and bumblebee.
and some of the art shares the evergreen design.
but theyre not cyberverse theyre still prime/rb continuity.

I would\'ve probably expected this to be released the same time Ratchet made his appearance in the show, this is honestly surprising and makes me wonder if we\'re gonna get a toy of Laserbeak and Perceptor as toys since they appeared in the show
