Via the Transformers Facebook page, Hasbro has a new official reveal for us on this Transformers Tuesday, that being Legacy Leader Galvatron!
This figure was actually first seen back at the very end of last year in a series of Legacy stock photos, and one thing many people noticed was the lack of “battle damage” deco that was present on the Kingdom version. Today Hasbro is confirming that it will indeed be removed due to fan feedback:
“Here comes another #TransformersTuesday reveal! Galvatron is back, and this time he’s facing off with Laser Optimus Prime! And we’re happy to announce that we listened to your feedback and removed the battle damage deco! Both Transformers: Legacy Leader Galvatron and Laser Optimus Prime are launching this Spring.”
Check out the photo and let us know what you think after the break!

No. Check my sig in landscape mode to get the correct numbers.

Are Kingdom and Legacy DPCI numbers the same at Target?

Galvatron is sturdy. Legacy more so than Kingdom. The joints are tight. He holds poses like a boss and I never feel like he's going to break.
You could give him to an 8 Year old and he'd stand the test of time.

Think of it as MP Carbot like Skids, Sunstreaker, the Datsuns, but way more sturdy. If that means that mainline is more durable and a better figure all around than the MP line, I’m good with that
WishfulThinking
I'm pretty nonplussed about the battle damage. All I know is I got one with correct shoulders and that's all that really matters to me.

While I really enjoy MP level engeneering, I 'd rather not have the "MP feel" of the materials on my CHUGs. From the few MPs in my collection, they really feel more delicate than mainline TFs. Barring a lot of clear plastic, I worry a lot more when MPs fall from my shelf than when a mainline figure does.
TLDR; I rather have sturdy plastic then "premium feeling" plastic.

Legacy Leaders in stock at Pulse now.

Yeah, they just haven't fully hit saturation yet.

Maybe outside the US. I held the Legacy next to the Kingdom, and the materials on the Legacy version actually feel more premium. I’d go as far as to say as MP level. Especially after transforming MP Sunstreaker. Mainline really is becoming like the mini MP. I’m impressed
Thundershot
Seriously? I saw three of them (and on G2 Prime) at Target today.
Gamerlingual
Meaning yes. Ouch. Glad I don’t support those aftermarket sellers

80$ ish

Received my Legacy Galvatron today at retail price. Is this guy already going for more expensive aftermarket prices?

You too? Having concerns with the Shoulders? Good thing you aren't being accused of shouting it out!
PlanckEpoch
I don't care about the battle damage either.
It isn't like you're the only one. It's just that those who don't mind it don't really have a reason to speak up. We're satisfied with what we got.

I have a bigger problem with the shoulders, but I would've preferred the original not to have battle damage.

I guess I'm the only one who didn't even care about the battle damage that much? I left it on my Galvatron, I was just happy to have the bastard after months of hunting.

Avoid getting it on clear plastic and on deco you want to keep and you should be fine.
