Courtesy of the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive website, we can share for you some really interesting G1 Transformers material: A full set of G1 Toyfair catalog scans with all the Transformers pages from 1987 to 1990.
These pages sure takes us back to the very origin of our beloved transforming toys. Beside Transformers there are other catalog sections for GI Joe, Jem, Inhumanoids, Visionaries, Air Raiders, Battle Beasts and even Ninja Warriors.
You can find all the files here in the Sunbow and Marvel Productions Script/Storyboard Archive: April 2021 Update. Click on the discussion link below and share your impressions about this G1 material on the 2005 Board!

Those GI Joe vehicles are the BOSS! If I weren't into TFs………..

I may repurpose Bug Bite into my Diaclone shelf now, seeing as Hub Cap was originally going to be white. I know he's not Diaclone official but he's not really the GoBot deco either.
I still want Blue Sea Spray, Lord of All Transformers, dammit!

In the same vein as the storyboards and briefing binders, I have now created a gallery page for all of the catalogues listed.
I have arranged the catalogues first by year, then the toylines in page order. See if this works better at: The Sunbow Marvel Archive: Toyfair Catalogues

Oh, people talk about Transformers vs Go-bots being a war. That was just two companies cashing in on a fad.
Hasbro v Mattel over Jem? That was a war. Lore has it that Mattel sent spies to dumpster-dive at Hasbro HQ and get the early packaging mock-ups. Super Sunday was pretty much sold on the basis of just Robotix and Bigfoot. Even the big Glitter N' Gold relaunch for 1987 was under such secrecy, that it had the codename of "Ruby Red".
Powerbomb
It looks like the small Pretenders assortment wasn't fully finished/ready, so they just painted some guns (from head/power masters?) that would fit in their hands white(?). I'm just guessing.
IIRC, were just the same shots in the G1 checklists, right?
Is that Streetwise's gun on Octopunch's (robot form) arm?

Yeah, the '88 and '89 ones were not perfect as they wouldn't sit flat in a scanner and I wasn't about to ask him to damage them for the sake of this project. Just had to make do on Adobe Scan.

I made some minor (IMO) "tweeks" to some of the images. Obviously, subjectivity is an issue, as is the fact that I'm using my phone (with blue light disabled) to view these images.

I think those very same shots are in the UK catalog too.
Sorry I meant, they used shots of the same display photos.

And yet again, thanks to the Transformers fandom we have another piece of GIJoe history. Thank you so much for sharing this!
