TFWiki members Star Spangled Sam, Saix, Fanofcoolstuff27, and MrRald have fully translated and lettered the entire saga of the Precursor World (前史世界), told across the Legends manga by Shin Sakaki (佐々木 心) and the Generations Selects manga by Shin Sakaki and Hayato Sakamoto (坂本ハヤト). I know many members of this board have long ignored Star Spangled Sam's script translations linked at the bottom of each TFWiki article, so perhaps youse will find text integrated with graphics more amenable to your attention.

A lot of those figures were already pretty expensive…
Markdelg
They used Go Ratchet for Green Megatron because he was seen in the old E-Hobby comics and they needed to come up with some kind of context as to who he actually was. So they made him 2050 G1 Megatron’s final body. Who’da thunk it?
I think they were trying to use toys that were specifically redecoes of Megatron toys but weren’t actually Megatron, such as Alternity Galvatron, Bludgeon, T-Wrecks, etc.
Suboptimal Optimus
You know, I'm surprised that the representative of BW Megatron in the New Primus Vanguard was the red T-Wrecks use of the mold. I did expect a BW Megatron in there but:
A) I thought he'd be the Purple Megatron, guess that was too obvious or, alternatively, G2 Hero/Archforce/The Legends version of the TR mold would be
B) I thought that, had a BW-related mold be used, the Red Megatron would be represented by one form of TM2 Megatron
mizuki088
Train Raiden was on the picture (yes. his toy will be released)
golden megatron.. lol.. We finally have golden saiyan convoy vs golden megatron. (you know your DBZ)
The manga does not need to follw any rules (as other parallel universe.)
Suboptimal Optimus
Well, either way all those figures used to make the New Primus Vanguard/Megatron Corps are going to keep spiking in price. Maybe this was secretly a ploy to sell that SELECT Arctic Camo Megatron all along!
durroth
Japan dont know about our stupid sexy botcon megatron
Thundershot
You know, for some reason I thought that figure was on the contest thing in a Generations poll (along with the Omnibots and others) and lost. I totally forgot it actually got released. I stand corrected.
Suboptimal Optimus
Btw, anyone else think this would have made a better Green Megatron?
Suboptimal Optimus
Not the same character, just a repurposed mold/deco.
IceCreamCyborg
I thought T-Wrecks was a good guy?
Markdelg
That's pretty cool.
When it comes to G1, the Japanese love to retcon things. That's why Car Robots, which originally had zero to do with G1, suddenly out of nowhere got shoehorned into it for reasons which still elude me.
Suboptimal Optimus
Well now we know. And knowing is half the battle.
ArkinDotWav
Yeah, all the cartoon stated was that he was the first entity in general to be tied to the matrix, while I believe Alpha Prime was the first Cybertronian to yeild it, followed by Prima (though the G1 cartoon Prima was only named that retroactively, like Sentinel)
Suboptimal Optimus
Honestly I really like this, because iirc 'It' predate other Transformers inside the Matrix doesn't he?
ArkinDotWav
Oh damn, I didn't even recognize that he was supposed to be "It". That explains how he's the first entity connected to the matrix, and why he has a Quintesson-esque skull face
RazorclawX
That's because the whole Sideways shenanigans isn't a Japanese thing. In Japanese continuity Double Face and Noisemaze are completely separate characters and not meant to be the same character (Noisemaze in particular is supposed to hint at his connection with Soundwave).
GizmoTron
It's not even that Hasbro plays it safe, it's just as long as there's Hasbro and also IDW comics and the movies working on the "normal" stuff to plot out the toylines already, there's no need for TakaraTomy to invest in anything too serious.
SecretWyvern
Well this was a fun story, laughing a bit at the people finding this stuff too convoluted to understand like…you guys really haven't read a lot of comic books have you? Hope they continue to do more, and would like to see most of these comic only repaints to get made in a sort of selects line, wouldn't buy all of them, but there's definitely a good few standouts I'd want to pick up.
Wonder what they're gonna retcon next
Suboptimal Optimus
Pretty much. They know Hasbro will just keep playing it safe with '84-'86 (and now, briefly, Beast Wars) nostalgia. Hasbro has increasingly made it clear that being as basic, safe, reliable and marketable is what makes them money rather than take too many risks.
