Azure Sea Studio have revealed our first images of their officially licensed Bludgeon Statue for your viewing pleasure.
Azure Sea Studio have previously showed YuYu Hakusho and Sun Wukong resin statues, and surprised us with a new officially licensed Optimus Prime statue. Now they bring us a new and stylized Bludgeon rendition that we are sure it will please your optics. The design is highly stylized and bulky, showing a massive warrior. Bludgeon is standing over Trypticon’s head and ready to take out his sword.
This statue will stand 72 cm tall and it seems an alternative exclusive sword effect and head will be available too. A very nice modern rendition of the Decepticon samurai. To top it all, Azure Sea Studio have uploaded new images of the proper gray prototype of their Optimus Prime statue which we have also attached to this news post.
We still have no concrete information on price or release date, but stay tuned with TFW2005 for more updates. See all the mirrored images on this news post after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

I'm not really feeling him. Unpainted he looks a bit jumbled. Painted, his colors remind me of Boba Fett's but it somehow doesn't quite work for him and his head is kind of weird.

That's another thing: I struggled to notice his eyes because they're quite small and hidden amongst the features of his oddly shaped head.
ThunderDestron
I thought it looked Bayverse too, especially the face. (Doesn’t help that the eyes are so recessed) The legs look long haul. It looks good but the alligator thing isn’t in the same style as it.

So like, I like this.
Mostly, it's the head I don't care for. Kinda small and hard to tell what I'm looking at. Wading a little too far into Bayverse indecipherable design.
TonyStink
Far to bulky for my liking.

What Bludgeon is this?

Fair. I don't read the comics so admittedly I wouldn't know which came first. Either way, a brilliant design.

I was expecting an awesome take on him that reminds me of the G1 run or maybe the updated IDW look. This is that terrible sheet metal in a blender look.

It looks like a hot mess. I can\'t fully understand what it is I\'m looking at in those photos.

We shouldn't because Don's Strombringer design didn't inspire this, you're thinking of the unused Unicron Trilogy Bludgeon design he made, which then inspired the ROTF voyager. That design is also had the "Gurren Lagann crest". Just so you know that crescent moon forehead crest is a classic samurai design, Gurren Lagann wasn't the first to use it, even in the world of giant robots Zambot was the first to have it.

Wasn't the comic design inspired by the toy?
