As Tigatron said, its the symbols on the nameplates that this discussion was about.
Hasbro started adding that in Siege. They explained it in the post Tigatron linked to, and used it heavily on their own website War for Cybertron: Siege – Hidden Messages, Games, Videos, Toys – Transformers (scroll down a bit to see):

As you can see each of the symbols has a meaning. You can match that to any Siege or Earthrise character to see what Division, Unit, and Rank that character is.
Fans have compiled a cheatsheet of all the symbols used so far:

And you can compare the three characters in question (Hoist, Growl/Bombshock, Ironworks) to this cheatsheet to see that the original post is correct.

Bombshock & Growl have the wings that denote Air Force.
Hoist has the medical star.
Ironworks has the central part with the lines/circles jutting out that denotes Space Command.
So yeah, it helps to read…. all the information Hasbro has released about this fun new addition to their packaging

They are talking about the symbols by their names that denote ranks and units that they belong to. It helps to know what people are talking about before you assume they don't know what they are talking about

I agree their he should be a scout for sure.
Spinister was released in sieges.
You obviously are hellucinating and also cant reqd, bombshock and growl are MILITARY patrol says it clearly on the back, as for hoist being medical cant see that stated ANYWHERE. I dont have ironworks so i can look at box in person but based on the pics also 0 reference of him being any command.
Dunno where yall go your titals for these guys from but their non existent so dont worry. And again bombshovk and growl are military patrol not airforce patrol doesnt say anywhere they are airforce patrol. Helps to read
