This issue was awesome.
I loved it, from cover to cover.
The Galvatron/Magnus fight is so much fun. And the artwork of the Autobot jets, rising up to attack the War World, is just stunning. I'm loving Guidi's art, although I was loving Wildman's art, also.
I've just been looking through the Wildman issues of Regen One, to judge any differences in style. I'd say there's very little difference, with Guidi aping the previous style very closely. It's still 99% close-up shots of the characters in dynamic poses. And for the Wildman panels with characters just standing around, I'm really not sure how he could have drawn that differently, as the characters are scripted to be standing around talking. He could have drawn them gesticulating to the point of absurdity, I suppose.
Anyway, this was a great issue, great pacing, great art.

Well nothing so far HAS negated the UK continuity that comes to mind. G2 is officially another time stream as per Hot Rod's vision of multiple Rodimi/Hot Rods through the ages. Sure you can ignore authorial intent, but G2 is for sure a separate thing along with Another Time and Place. Each are cool as they are all alternative endings to the mega story that is Marvel G1.

Although its perhaps wise to bear in mind that this isn't outright stated as fact within the comics themselves, only in external sources such as Furman's blog and the TF Wiki.
Art is in the eye of the beholder; it's up to us as readers to form our own interpretations.
If people want to include RG1 and the old UK comics in a single mega-continuity with the US stuff (and even G2), then that's also perfectly reasonable.
For example, this might well be the same Magnus who previously fought Galvatron in Target 2006 and Vicious Circle, and the reason he doesn't know Galvatron is due to Cybertron Alzheimer's or something.
Alternatively, when Magnus says "I don't know him", he's specifically referring to this particular version of the Decepticon. Lest we forget, Magnus never actually met Gavatron II before – all his previous encounters were with the Original Galvatron who died in Time Wars.
As I said, I would encourage readers to read the books for themselves and make their own minds up, authorial intent be damned!

To be clear the only things that are canon in Regeneration One are the first 80 issues and the Headmasters series. Everything else is apocryphal in nature. So Target 2006 gets referenced in Regeneration One issue 94. It is cool stuff because we get some sweet twists off of what is already familiar stories. And that is Furman's goal if you read his blog: Everything old is new again.

It might be a difficult concept for some to get a handle on, so I'll elucidate: in long-running franchises where stuff is constantly being added to a continuing narrative, lots of old ideas and concepts can fall by the wayside and be retconned out of continuity.
I merely meant that, from the point of view of RG1's Ultra Magnus, the events of Target:2006 never took place, as far as he remembers.
You are, of course, free to enjoy Target:2006 at your leisure!

It was really satisfying seeing Magnus finally step up his game.
(And before the continuity-conscious pile on, he's only been portrayed as sort of a pedant in RG1 to date.)

I've never understood how the "it never happened" logic works. It happened. That story just won't be built upon anymore, but it still happened. I have it collected on my shelf and can still read it whenever I want.

That is what made it so great and the twist at the end. I thought Galvatron was going to come from those flames I had that many chills. Great issue, and the best has yet to come yet.

That and everything else does, sure. But the sequence still has great fun referencing Target: 2006 in every other panel.

Actually, this story pretty much puts the kibbosh on a combined US/UK narrative. This version of Magnus has only a passing familiarity with Galvatron, which pretty much means that from his point of view, Target:2006 never happened!
A great point, but (shameless plug here), I'd suggest that there are more than just two parallel timelines going on in the combined US/UK narrative.
When I cover Target:2006 in my blog in a few weeks (link below), I'll be going into this sort if thing in great detail. And with diagrams.

Guidi's name is on cover A for #93 and Wildman's name is on cover A for #94. Why the difference?

Wildman is still drawing Cover A. Cover B is Guidi. Incentive Cover is Senior.
Guidi is doing the internal artwork now, but they are not changing the cover arrangement.

I wonder how 81 through 92 would have turned out if Guidi had done them? Great artwork aside, he seems to have a nack for actually pacing out the issue. Which he does with his panel work. Add in the little moments that he would have added.
Who knows, maybe he'd have had Scorponok actually do something other than stand on a bridge for an entire arc.
Also the single mention of GREAT GOD GENRAI's name wants me to see him in a comic. Either RG1 or MTMTE.
