If like me you recently got Masterpiece Soundwave, you might be interested in this story. Masterpiece Soundwave features an attachment for his chest which lets you put slides in it to recreate the times he used his chest window as a monitor to display information for the Decepticons. On the released version of the toy, these screens are featured on the manual, meaning you have to cut up the back page of the instruction booklet to get this function.
Well, put down those scissors, because thanks to 2005 Boards Podcast Host Vangelus, we have something that will be useful to you. Vangelus has made a little edit to the papercraft Energon cubes that Takara-Tomy posted on their site to add the display screens to the printout. Click here to download it and check it out, and save yourself cutting up your instructions booklet!

Thank you.

If you can find the exact pixels of the pictures that do fit, you can copy and paste the custom ones into paint and resize the pixels to match, then print it. It worked for me in the past.

Got it. Trust my old friend Vangelus and everything works out in the end. Now if I can just get the sizing right on some Custom Pics.

Use the ones Vange1us provided, not the second set. I had to resize nothing on Vange1us's. It printed out perfectly.

Still can't get these to print the correct size. Any Ideas?

Hey All,
I made a full / 'condensed' version of the cube to replace the white one.
Another idea is to make the cube out of something like one of those notebooks from the 90's that were reflective/prismatic. I'll update with pics if I manage to find one.

Hate to bump this, but Vange1us, you rock. You do rock, sir. The print outs worked beautifully. I used regular printer paper, printed at full color quality and the cube holds firm inside the shell. I have no plans of ever removing it. It looks so good and needs nothing fancy.
Impressive, most impressive. You might just be a Jedi, yet.

I just thought I'd post an update to the above Tutorial. Thanks so much to everyone who's contributed! If you have any more thoughts, tips, questions, etc., please post and I can continue to refine the tutorial as needed

Cheers Vangelus, that's great. Now I've just got to wait another day or two for my Soundwave to arrive…
