Entertainment Earth adds more pictures of interest! This time it’s the next wave of Powercore Combiner 5-packs which includes Stakeout with the Protectabots and Crankcase with the Destrons.
Both of these sets are repaints and swaps of previous 2 and 5 packs. Stakeout himself is an Autobot repaint of Smolder with half of the drones from the Combaticons and half from the Aerialbots while Crankcase is a Decepticon repaint of Huffer with the rest of the drones from each set.
Both these sets are listed as pre-orders with expected release dates of September.

I find amusing you are so concerned about me getting a life..
Anyways, nobody is forcing you to buy the PPCs with a gun pointed at your head. Get Generations (it´s apparently awesome) if you want updated G1 figures.
Foster
I'd agree with this. When you see the combined mode, there's hardly any torso, no bulk. The proportions are off for me.
G1-LORD GANGSTA
To the last post get a life really stay on point powercore combiners dude.I mean so many people on this forum that think there better than others to make them sleep better at night. Anways powecore combiners should at least be delux size would be more appealing.
General Magnus
Dude, learn to write shit in a decent way. I have a hard time reading your posts. Seriously, you are coming of as a kid in front of a computer.
G1-LORD GANGSTA
Oh spare me the pathtic details for the anchient ones didnt use periods commas bla bla YOUR cousin never played with classics/universe G1 in no your right my 6 year dont speak for ALL but the fact he does for most and most would agree WITH HIM power core are not TF as most dont even transform HA HA you pay $20 bucks for 5 paper things only 1 transforms
Lumpy
no offense, but i highly doubt your 6 year old speaks for every child on the planet… my cousin loves the look of the PCC's, and so do a ton of my friends… and i personally think they're pretty awesome… nothing in g1 had this autotransform awesomeness… most of the limbs all transformed pretty similar to each other as well… so this is way more fun… to me, at least… i know they aren't everyone's cup of tea…
and i love g1 as much as the next guy, but given the chance, i'd play with Classics Prime way more then a g1 prime…
but like Foster said, check the rest of this site man, there's tons of g1 love all over the place…
HAHAHA…

Its not compairing 80s tv to todays hdtv cause you see these tvs today are better if you know what i mean these power core tf are not any kid would choose the g1 combiners over these duh the chrome size yea you know its not rocket science my 6 year old even said so thats proof that im right all im saying is hasbro got it all wrong and yes drive down any neiborhood bricks is what people want no one builds houses of wood bricks builds a solid house thats the point g1 solid powercore not i bought one it fell apart melted away
General Magnus
I like toys with added articulation. Mind you I don´t oppose to updated G1 characters done with modern stuff.
But be fair the only G1 stuff I was interested even as the kid were the combiners. For some reason I loved smaller robots that turned into bigger robots. Didn´t cared for much of the other stuff.

It's more like comparing a TV from the 80's to a high definition plasma screen TV. One's obviously going to tug on your heartstrings, but as there are advances in technology, people are going to want newer variations of things. They're not going to release an Xbox that looks like an Atari. Aesthetics change, as well as the cost to produce things. You can't load a toy with die-cast and sell it for $10 anymore.
I bet G1 Transformers were ridiculous to people that played with Lincoln Logs and marbles. You're stuck in the mind frame of the past, and can't seem to realize that the kids won't be rushing to the stores to buy "AUTHENTIC G1 REISSUE COMBINER" but whatever looks cool to them. And brick is not what's in fashion.
Foster
Hey, you should check out some of the other areas of the site. Lots of places for positive discussion of your favorite G1 stuff. And lots of G1 homages too in Radicons, our customs area.
The PCC line isn't my bag either but I just concentrate on the lines I DO like.

But they ARE making new toys. We've just seen the Dinobots and Constructicons recently. But we don't know anything beyond that.
Powercore Combiners is a filler line as it is. These repaints help recuperate costs on developing the molds and makes for more product on the shelves. There may be a long wait before we can buy wave four. Thats where the repaints come in so that new product gets released in the meantime.
As for why they didn't do a real homage to Protectobots, well the repaints had to exist so they had to be called something. Smolder had to be used as the Autobot Commander since the criteria was that the molds switch factions when repainted and since he's a rescue vehicle, he becomes a Protectobot. Tanks are present in the team because thats all they had to use. These Protectobots were never about creating a true homage to the G1 originals, just reusing what they had available. IMO, it shows more creativity than a straight homage.
The Destrons are not the Stunticons. They were originally said to be called the Stunticons though but had their name changed because Hasbro said they wanted to do a better job at portraying the Stunticons. I believe the Stunticons will be a repaint of Leadfoot, two Rallybots and two Destructicons when the time comes to repaint wave 2.
I will be quite interested in seeing what they do for a repaint of wave four – the Autobot five pack will consist of a tank, two Dinobot drones and two Constructicon drones. Whereas the Decepticons will have a jet commander and the other drones. We have yet to see the original Decepticon tank Heavy Tread and the Autobot jet Skyhammer so we don't know what they look like. Just what would Hasbro name these two teams?
G1-LORD GANGSTA
a house built of bricks is better than one made of of cheap wood so i say older is older but wiser and stonger is way better than new weak flimesy ridiculous toys like these
Brainchild
The stupidity knows no bounds, does it?
Short answer: Bricks get old after a while.
G1-LORD GANGSTA
what is the point in these this not g1 stuff people. bought these for my 6 year old son broke cheap plastic looks like more ridiculous bayformer stuff its getting old cant see why we cant get real updated stunticons constructicons combaticons ect. why do you guys settle for this complain to hasbro
Long_Haul
Trust me, ive never Returned a after opening it, Playing with it, eating with it, Going to the park, long walks on the beach, then Taking it back to Target and demanding my Cash back, i dont roll like that. I've even seen Human Alliance Skids at Target with Deluxe skids in the Box, so i know why ya'll would get upset and pissed.
PCC:
Oh yeah, dont get me wrong, the Idea is cool, combining ANYTHING bring the G1 to life. But i also like Vehicles to Robot and Robot to BIGGER ROBOTS. i heard the Entire world complain when Supreme Devastator came out. No Robot modes ect…… and yes i flipped out, not all Hasbro's Figs Suck, i was just Super Excited about this one, the Rally bots, but i remembered the Bombshock Review, ANd i didnt want to be stuck with a Figure After opening it and not be able to Sell it you know, plus it didnt seem like the Boards were buying the Pcc's from members, i mean Collector to Collector. I apologize for flying off the handle, but a person doesn't specify this and that, you (Not saying just you) shouldn't think he's meaning this or that
Lumpy
I believe he was saying that its easier to research first, then buy, instead of driving to a store, finding toy, spending money, driving home, researching, decideding against toy, driving back, returning then driving all the way back home again…
and selling things to other members is different, you're selling collector to collector… and damn right, i'm not going to sell a $300 toy to you or any other collector for 10 just to help them out… if i happen to have a figure that's worth a certain price, i'm going to try and get that price for it… same as Hasbro, who sets the SUGGESTED price, then retailers decide what to actually sell it for, and then when to put it on sale if they desire…
and if you did just buy it, and not open it, then its totally okay to return it… what we've been talking about are people who open something, decide they don't like it, then take it back… but you neglected to specify, and maybe we shouldn't've jumped to the conclusion that you did open then return, but that's part of life sometimes… non enough info leads to misunderstandings…
as for your last line, there's plenty of figures that don't suck… depending on your idea of suck… I personally LOVE the PCC line, and think its a great concept and is a ton of fun… so there's more then just a few of those toys out there…
BOT, I can't wait to see what repaints they do in wave 6…
Long_Haul
Like I say, if you returned it unopened (again, valuable information that should have been mentioned), then that's fine; my problem is with people taking them back opened. But wouldn't it make a lot more sense to research the figure first and then buy it, rather than having to waste the time and effort returning it? It's a non-exclusive mass-release figure, not something that'll be hard to find later if you pass it up the first time.
AGAIN, i just dont see what it matters if i buy if before i research it, or after, if i dont like it, i can return it. Why is everyone tripping bout returning something, it s not like i broke the F*cking thing and decided to be a Douche and take it back, WHO CARES. i came on here to leave my thoughts about The Powercore Combiners, and ya'll have turned it into a Damn Debate, trying to grill me on what i do with my money and my Figs. I mean Come on. Really? like i said, why should someone have to deal with something they dont like, is that some "Collectors Code Of Conduct?" What About selling figs on threads, oh is that Different cause your selling them to a Member, I mean that Seems like the same thing, your getting rid of it, cause u dont want it Right? i dont think you sell your figures to help us out, because Alot of you Sell them EXTREMELY HIGH PRICED! So thanks for trying to make someone feel like a ****** wanting to have a Hasbro figure that DOESNT SUCK, But theres so Few of them out there.
