Via site sponsors Big Bad Toy Store, we can report that a second version of Action Toys non-transforming, high-end Optimus Prime figure from their Ultimetal line will be getting a second release some time in the early part of this year. Clocking in at a cool $1099.99, this new version of Ultimetal Optimus Prime sports an impressive paint job as well as the features that made the first release great, such as removable armor, die-case parts, and lights. New to this version is that it is a battle damaged version, which means there are some nice option parts for the torso, grill, and head that replicate Optimus’ famous fatal wounds from his final showdown with Megatron in Transformers the Movie.
If you can spare over $1,000 on a 17 inch Optimus Prime, then this is probably something for you.

Curious if anyone else who has this figure can tell me if there is a special way i need to attach the antennas on his head. Mine just kinda rest on the groves with out any friction or magnets holding them in place, a gentle tap and they will pretty much fall right off…

Finally got a chance to display this guy. Epic piece. Pretty much makes everything else I own look like infant toys lol.

Snagged one before he dries up everywhere like the original. Very excited! Now I'm off to sell half my collection, lol.

Thanks, now I got it to work, but I have to put the remote right in front of the ab grill for it to work. But anyway, success! This guy is amazing!

mine didn't work originally as well. switch to different batteries and smack the remote around. mine started working. then transporting him during a move, he fell over in my car with a hard brake, head popped off hanging by wires. plates all flew off. he stopped working. changed batteries and smacked the remote around and he started working again. Try pulling plates off and opening his chest after you turn it on and press the power button on the remote in multiple locations of the figure. the remote is weak shit. mine has a 6 inch useable range.

Unfortunately, I have to report that the electronics on my figure dont appear to work. A quick search online showed that this was an issue that some people who bought the original release had. I've already contacted Chosen Prime to see how they can help me out. I definitely don't want to go through the hassle of returning it. This is a feature I'd rarely use, but for the money I paid, I wanna know that I still have it available to me.

This is awesome, It'd be nice to see a battle damaged Megatron too.

"Whoa! What happened to you?!?"
"Kreator mosh pit."

As well as you should be. I have both UM Prime and Magnus, and they are truly something else.
Want this bad, but still debating if the vanilla version is enough…
Electro Rush
Yes. Very impressed with this guy.
