Hasbro has recently applied for the Trademark of Decepticon Quake at United States Patent And Trademark Office.
However, there is no mystery to this as TF@TM has uncovered the following:
“[Application] includes a direct reference to the Titans Returns Toy with a packaging image included within the application. The application also references two prior registered marks, serial numbers 1327229 and 3619722”
Technical details:
- Mark (in words): DECEPTICON QUAKE

- Status Date: Monday, 26th of June 2017
- Class Status: ACTIVE
- Category: Toy action figures, toy vehicles and toy robots convertible into other visual toy forms

Oh man, I would love a new Quickmix and Spinister.
You're thinking of the wrong Landfill. The original Landfill was a Double Targetmaster that turned into a dump truck.
WishfulThinking
Buy TAV Roadblock and give him his Targetmaster…and then say the other became a Headmaster. That's what I did.
Rated X
Hope this means down the line we get a new quake thats not a headmaster.
Windsweeper II
All of that would be wonderfull.
ZapRowsdower
Very odd. I guess legal is catching up with the all the names?
I heard mention of Action Masters… I wonder if that\'ll be part 3 of this Titan series. Or will it be Pretenders? Or heck, I wouldn\'t be surprised if they went BEAST WARS for this final part (as beast modes have been noticeably absent, AND it would be a noticeable change for the average consumer). They could go back and do a combiner Predaking and Abominus, for example, as part of this. Throw in some BW characters and I think everyone would be pretty happy. (And hopefully they remember some of the beast HMs like Fangry or Terribul).
WishfulThinking
As cool as that might be, this is an application for the current use of the name.
Deadend
Probably not Scoop. He was already done with both Target Masters. And doing "Buildking" from RID probably isn't high on the list for a redo since his mold is already modern compliant and could get re-released since his molds are intact.
Don't think they'd redo Devastator either. That set is too recent and they still have too many others to cover that haven't had figures at all yet. Plus the retool potential of more recent releases that they could still do.
Quake on the other hand could do for a full new mold since his current is only a repaint. Or it could be a filing to make sure they keep the name, especially with any potential Marvel figure releases coming up.

Who wants to bet we'll be getting all the second year targetmasters in Power of the Primes – Needlenose, Spinster, Quake, Scoop, Landfill, and Quickmix. The latter three could be retooled into members of a new, deluxe scale Devastator, if we're really lucky.

New figure be interesting what it looks like from original figure

It's odd isn't it. The application suggests they were using it since the start of April this year, was that when he was released in the US?
Oh if anyone wonders the two marks they refer to are DECEPTICON (SN:1327229) and DECEPTICON BLUDGEON (SN: 3619722)
TyrantLizardKing
If it means getting a new mold Deluxe or Voyager Quake that turns into an Earth tank with Tiptop and Heater I\'m sold.
SilverOptimus
I fixed the thread title. Thank you very much. Front paged.
Nevermore
Aren't they a little late for that? The figure already came out.

edit – Not sure why my computer changed the subject to be Alnew rather than "new". Odd
