Honestly I know it's not a popular opinion but I hope the old friend is Bumblebee (ducks folding chair) I really like the way Roberts wrote Bee in issue one and I'd love to see Bee's reaction to Megatron the Autobot and the impact he had on megs life. Like Justiceg I thought Pharma as well, but then is Pharma really that big? Part of me hopes it's Starsaber. Hell maybe Tyrest is making a comeback?
Nocturne
Maybe it's Thunderclash.
Fort Max
That sounds much more likely!
IaconStargazer
Now that's a possibility; the overall physique and the wing shapes look quite a bit like Pharma's.
justiceg
OOOO – or he's Pharma's body with the tentacle thing that grabbed him, come back from that dimension to get Skids back.
Negativedark
Heh, we tend to forget that Broadside is pretty big tough bot. One of the longest term Wreckers in comics, and in the show he seemed to be in the class of Omega Supreme and Sky-Linx. Well size anyways. Now if Hasbro would just give him a Generations figure, So I could put him on my Wreckers shelf.
I see the MMTE cover and I can just imagine Magnus yelling "Why am I the one who has to learn about the spirit of Christmas!"
IaconStargazer
With an interesting variety of stories coming out, it looks like it'll be a fun holiday season for many Transformers fans!
Also, Thundercracker dog toy. Make it happen, Hasbro.
Autovolt 127
That'd be weird if Trailbreaker turned out to be the dead friend back….I dunno how to feel about that.
Mort
My money on the dead bot is Agent 113 if he's real or Bumblebee if he's not.
General Magnus
No shit.
Sockie
Nah, it looks nothing like Prowl, and he wouldn't care that much about his assassination attempt on Tyrest being public knowledge; it wasn't going to stay a secret with everything that was going on at that time. Also, it was Getaway who revealed it, not Skids. Skids still doesn't have any memories of it.
grindcore138
Unless whoever it is has been drawn differently to avoid spoiling their true identity, the silhouette is all wrong to be any of the DJD.
You can make out wings on his back and what I assume are intakes on his shoulders, a glint of purple from his back/shoulder (cockpit?)-kibble, and Decepticon Purple bio-glow line things.
So, the clues are he's a hench Decepticon with an Aerial alt-mode and at least a bit of purple as part of his colour scheme.
Fort Max
Don't crucify me if I'm obviously wrong, I can't really be bothered to check but the thought occurred that it may be prowl, he is missing at this time according to the wreckers brief and he may well have something of a beef with skids for spilling the beans about the tyrest plot.
YoungPrime
Have we confirmed that is a DJD member holding Skids captive? I can't tell it that's Tarn or not.
YoungPrime
Yeah, they both have toys coming out but Rodimus did make an effort to save Trailbreaker but I doubt either of those resurrections would raise the hype meter leading up to issue #50 as much as Dominus Ambus would.
Nocturne
Would Rewind even be a candidate? The Slaughterhouse arc hinged on the fact that two of the same thing couldn't exist in the same universe, at least not in close proximity.
ultramagnus1
So who are the potential candidates believed to be dead who could return?
1 Roller
2 The original Rewind
3 pipes
4 Trailcutter. Changes his name back to Trailbreaker to coincide with his upcoming CW figure
5 Dominus Ambus. ???? maybe
6 Scourge. He ended up somewhere? It would be someone that Cyclonus would be happy to see
justiceg
What if Skids' repressed memories are being displayed on the cover? =)
justiceg
I was originally thinking that the "return of a dead friend + someone else came with him who could tear the crew apart" would be a Ratchet/Megatron sort of thing where Rewind comes back…attached to Overlord.
