Today’s Super Show episode previewed two Transformers-related items available for purchase in two weeks at Super7’s Comic-Con booth #2543:
Following the events of Transformers: The Movie, Megatron may be gone, but he is definitely not forgotten! The latest 12” Transformers Super Cyborg Megatron was inspired by the vintage Goodbye Megatron G1 toy that commemorated the character’s demise in Transformers: The Movie.
Inspired by the highly sought after 1986 Japanese-market exclusive Goodbye Megatron gift set and features Japanese language captions.
Stay tuned for TFW2005 coverage of Comic-Con International: San Diego and in the meantime, sound off on the 2005 boards!

Transformers T-Shirts – Goodbye Megatron

Nothing will ever beat the generation 1 figures for me. Nothing.

Here\'s the original set. Ironically the original set had red on the inside of th3 legs. The inside blue legs was the standard takara version
ThePrime84
Not yet but there could be. Give the mold a more toy inspired deco and we're golden.

Super7 has already done a Super Cyborg Optimus, regular, clear, shattered glass, and dead, not sure if there's a goodbye Convoy version?
ThePrime84
Assuming we're getting a convoy one as well. Looks really cool but I can't tell if the blue on the inside of his legs is painted or if it's just the lighting.
Gumblor Gimbles
I'm gonna sob if I can't get the shirt for a reasonable price

I'm not that much into Super7 stuff, but I've gotta admit that's a really handsome Megatron.

History time: the mold that became Megatron was originally part of Takara's Microchange line. Initially it was MC12 which was just the pistol (plus the accessories) and was sold in either black with brown handle or grey with black handle variants, both with blue inner parts. The next part of the line was MC13 which was the UNCLE version with the stock, scope, and silencer (and chrome) with red inner parts. Hasbro used MC13 for Megatron but Japan for some odd reason used the grey MC12.
The crux of it is this little oddity; a little later in Takara's G1 line they did the two Goodbye sets. The boxart on the Goodbye Megatron set had the MC13/Hasbro Megatron artwork but with blue inner parts. The actual toy was a mix of both as it had the grey body color of the Takara version but the red inner parts of the Hasbro version (also being having the scope like Hasbro's but no silencer and no tooling to slot the stock either).
TLDR what we see here is all based specifically on the boxart of the Goodbye Megatron set (and amusingly not the actual toy).
Also amusingly the Takara Megatron's deco but with the full UNCLE parts and tooling (and a mace) got released as Megaplex so unintentionally the Super7 toy is practically Megaplex

I’m pretty sure they usually sell the apparel through their website with exclusives. The toys have often gone up on BBTS/EE too, so Megatron will probably be easy to get but I think they not sell the apparel.

Does anyone know if Super7 puts up their SDCC stuff for sale during or after the convention? Asking cause I'm really pining for that shirt.
galvatran
Is there a link to purchase the t-shirt without attending SDCC? Thanks.
JomasterII
It's literally about Japanese Megatron.
He's BLUUUUUUE.
Pteraxadon
That's a neat reference,
but what is the deco on megs about?
Afterburner
Now that's pretty cool.
shibamura_prime
That shirt is a deep dive, keep 'em comin' Super7.
Novaburnhilde
I need that shirt. D:

Hey @Black Convoy This good for news? I don't know if they'll have anything else to reveal since it's been a little while and posted a Dungeons and Dragons exclusive a little while ago.

The actual toy looks way better than the render in this case, kind of unusual for Super7 haha
