I guess he is confused, as am I, why you are judging a new character from a practically none existing version. It's boba fett syndrome.

If you mean the one from the newest IDW continuity I'm simply judging her based on the shitty Cyberverse character, which she's evidently based on. If you mean BotCon's SS there's definitely more to her than Boba Fett, maybe not as much as there probably should be, but Boba Fett had basically nothing and just looked cool (at least in the original trilogy).

Oh, I know about that. I wrote that.

All we know about Shadow Striker is that she doesn't escape Unicron and her sister looks sad. There's absolutely nothing to suggest she died honorably. There's nothing to suggest she died dishonorably, either. We know very, very little about BotCon Shadow Striker. Her arc is "Woo fireworks –> whoops Unicron made me evil –> oh huh I guess my story ended off-panel somehow"

I mean, you can headcanon that Shadow Striker died honorably so that everyone could escape. I like it! It's an idea. But I wouldn't say that's the version of her that's … not fanfic. Because that's literally fanfic!

Right, admittedly it's been awhile since I read the 3H comics but I think it should say something that for as little as BotCon Shadow Striker contributes she's still superior to a 'main' character bearing the same name.

I'll gladly admit to being incorrect about that though. Not sure why this is a topic you appear to be getting somewhat testy about.

Er, it's not though? Check the Wiki. If you mean the part about her death, it's a reasonable assumption to make given what information is available. Even if she didn't die that wouldn't make her actions any less noble.

I would like to hear some of your favorite BotCon Shadow Striker moments.

Unfortunately her time in the 3H comics was comparatively short-lived, but she died (I assume she didn't make it) an honorable death so the other Children of Primus could keep on trucking. She's prime material to be expanded upon, along with her sister.

Imagine wanting to include Cyberverse Shadow Striker when you could've included the original iteration of the character who was 10 times better and more interesting in comparison.

Cyberverse Shadow Striker is just a cringe fanfic-tier OC.

The inside art looks nice. Honestly think that Skylynx image would make for a nice cover.

Producing content on time and being friendly to work with is all very well and good, but not if this is the quality that is being put out.

you would be shocked how many people work in the creative industry and will keep their jobs just by just meeting the minimum level of work asked and are nice people. Maybe they wont climb the ranks but unless they slip up they are safe. It just costs too much to replace some one on a production when you've got deadlines etc.

But I do agree the standard isn't as high as it should be. I'd love to see it go back to the early days of IDW. I just cant see it happening.

pffft pulling this out of my ass but I'd guess the current staff produce content on time, are probably quite friendly to work with and don't ask for much. They could invest and send more work to outside artists but with the uncertain future of comics in general I'm guessing they just want to play it safe.
