I do hope that the trilogy beginning with War for Cybertron has its own web series that ties into the Prime Wars Trilogy stuff, though. Maybe some cool stuff will come out of whatever Power of the Primes tried to do at the end… That said, I do not want Machinima back.

like a lego head!

I hope the Predaking toy’s Head doesn’t snap off as easily as it did in the show.

I guess it was just to say "Starscream will be Starscream, even in death…" but I still got the definite impression that it was Starscream's ghost.
And yes, I thought it was stupid too XD
WilyMech
Probably in the War for Cybertron the next trilogy.

"Sorry Optimal, I just found out you turn into a monkey, not a truck. Give that back to me."

I just remembered about Power of the Primes and watched the last 4 episodes in one go. If you don't watch it in 10 minute slices it's actually not that bad. Other than the strange animation. I actually really liked the end. If the music was less generic and the animation better, this would be actually really cool stuff. Well and better voice acting by some guys…
Heliblade
The Last Knight: \"This planet is Hell.\"
Titans Return: \"We lost Goddamn you.\"
Power of the Primes: \"Oh Shit.\"
So when is Megatron gonna say \"AW FUCK\" ???

There's a quote for the DVD cover lol

With Peter Cullen voicing Optimus Prime, i wished Gary Chalk was voicing Optimal Optimus when they were walking side by side.

Alright. We're at the end and I figured it's time I give all my thoughts on the trilogy as a whole. To start with the smallest of issues being the animation and art style. While it is G1 inspired I think the use of CGI was a terrible mistake for this series. I think having a similar if not direct same art style for the Halo: Evolutions (example here) stories would have been a far superior choice. Lip syncing would have been a non issue and it would make this series stand out more as a motion comic. This trilogy isnt going to air on television, only online and a dvd product. So why bother with 3D animation for something that is not long or be viewed by cable television?
Second is the characters. I get Hasbro has to push certain characters for sales but some just don't fit for the story or are unnecessary. For example Windblade being the main focus on the Combiner portion of the story. It would make better sense if a combiner team were the focus. Hell given the story the Torchbearers could have been the main focus as they run into other teams and try to find some purpose in life. Imagine all six members, at this point complete strangers, having to work together and defeat, not kill, certain combiners. Its two-fold as not only are we introduced to a new team as the main characters but learn more about them and combiner mythology. The ending could be all the teams meeting in one location, as if called there, and it turns out to be a Titan. All of this with no Optimus, Megatron, Starscream, Hot Rod, Windblade, or Mistress. In either words, focus the series on what the toyline is based off.
Leading to my third point, the poor selling of the gimmick. None of these episodes properly sell the gimmick of the lines they are tied to. They showcase only the bare minimum. For Combiners we had Devastator, Computron, Menasor, and Victorion. For Titans we had Fort Max and Trypticon (not counting Metroplex). Why not put the focus on a series of headmasters as they search for bodies to host, perhaps fighting each other for which ever one they desire. For Primes we had Megatronus, Solus, Optimal Primal, Rodimus Cronus and the two beast Combiners as characters but nothing advertising the power of the primes themselves. At no point do the characters become embedded with ancient power representing the thirteen. Imagine each of the main cast discovering and unlocking a power core of Solus (windblade), Micronus (perceptor), and Liege Maximo (megatron) during the series. At the very least it could used as an excuse why the Fallen couldn't nuke them in one hit.
I could continue but I don't want to be here all day. Hopefully I made my point so everyone can carry on after reading my drivel.

Okay now I'm just hoping that Cyberverse is at least similar to season 1 of RID 2015 which wasn't great, but not actually bad either. I don't expect Cyberverse to be anything more than that, but I need a palate cleanser after the the messes that were Combiner Force and the Prime Wars trilogy. Titans Return actually had some decent episodes, but that definitely wasn't enough. It is somewhat sad to see the series end as it is with other series I watch, but I'm also very glad that it's over. This finale was possibly the worst in the trilogy, right around the level of Combiner Force's.
Now about Starscream's appearance at the end… How exactly did he come back? I take it that Optimus Prime's spark got freed AND the "power of the Primes" allowed him to be reborn in a physical form. Starscream didn't have any connection to the Primes, so I'm going to assume that this is basically ghost Starscream. That looked a lot like a physical body to me, but there was some electricity sparking when he appeared, so I'm not sure if that's supposed to indicate otherwise. Whatever the case is, that was a stupid cameo and ending. Not sure if it was supposed to be a cool tease or a final quip to send off the trilogy…

Will totally buy if released on DVD.

All that for an even lamer ass ending. Oy vey!!
The only saving grace of the whole thing was Megatron's character arc.
Rumble02
That was…..so not good. Yeeeeeah
Omegax80
Well, Megatron said a bad word…
And the last bit of dialogue is supposed to fanservice the G1 fans. Sigh. It was a nice try.
Obviously the web series had to wrap up. But it felt as though this whole season was trying to play the shock value card unnecessarily. There was way too much death, and then more death, and hey, in case there wasn't enough death, have more death.
Thankfully, this is only a web series, and not something worth investing the same energy one would in a 26+ episode tv series.

I just realized they missed an opportunity for a meta joke. When Perceptor says, "Those sparks will bring life to a new generation of Transformers". He could have said, "Those sparks will bring life to the next generation of Transformers", instead. You know, as in Star Trek: The Next Generation? The show that Perceptor's voice actor, Wil Weaton, is known for! Just changing two words wouldn't have changed the meaning of what Perceptor was saying, but would have added in a nice little inside joke for the fans.

It actually ended quite well except for Predaking dying and the return of Starscream. Megatron was the hero of the series all the way until his death. I like how OP will let OO be the new leader.

I'm pretty sure another fire will be set eventually.

Y'know, even having binged this series for the most part I had completely forgotten about Predaking. But then he turns out to be majorly plot relevant! But is then easily killed off like most Combiners in this series.
I guess it figures that Prime would end up defeating a Prime, and fittingly having Solus be the one to take out Megatronus, although couldn't she have done that earlier ?
"No One Summons Megatron," "S@#t." It would only have been better if they had fit in "You cannot destroy my destiny…." .
Megatron sacrificing himself to stop Unicron and prevent himself from getting taken over felt like a fitting end to him and his character development across this series, going out as the unexpected hero while finally acknowledging his team .
I still don't understand how Prime came back to life. He wasn't even that relevant to the plot after they brought him back. It almost felt like they just brought him back to life because it's expected that Optimus Prime will come back to life after his death.
Maybe they brought him back just to do that subtle title drop 😕
I did like seeing Optimus acknowledge Megatron's sacrifice and get to properly meet Optimus Primal for the first time ever (at least animated-wise). And I guess we finally have a conclusion to Optimus' character "arc" where he finally finds a role on Cybertron advising Optimal Optimus as the next Prime .
Although, really, I wouldn't be surprised if a few stories later Optimus ends up taking back the Matrix again .
I understand giving Perceptor the Engima and the Requiem Blaster for study, but does anyone really expect him to be able to properly guard them :ack:?
Man, poor Hot Rod. He gets possessed by Unicron, has his body used to kill Sludge, and now it seems like he may never recover from what he want through .
That tease at the end with Starscream felt really pointless given the unlikelihood that this series will ever see any kind of continuation. I guess it does explain what happened to Starscream after the whole Trypicon thing (although not by much), but still felt tacked on .
Y'know what would've been a better endcap? Beast Wars Megatron spying on Optimal Optimus and the Axalon, concluding the series with David Kaye's iconic "Yessss…" line .
