We now have official images of Hot Shot from the 3rd deluxe wave from Transformers Age of Extinction! It is interesting to note that the robot mode sample on display has a more G1 Tracks inspired paint job on the roof of his car.
This wave will also contain the previously revealed Deluxe Lockdown, and the modern Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee.

I wonder which deco will be the production version. The one on-dispay had the Tracks flames on the hood, but it could have been an early idea that got scrapped. Alternatively, the flames could have been added since these pictures were taken.

What I think is funny about this Hot Shot is how lazy they got with just reusing the idea of Hot Shot from the Transformers Prime cartoon toy line. He's a blue repaint of a character and just like TFP Hot Shot, they used the crosshairs mold because of the googles lol.

This repaint had to be originally Tracks in concept. Why they're calling it Hotshot I can only speculate.

I think it's likely to distinguish him from Bumblebee, who has taken over the "yellow sports car warrior with leadership potential" role. So Hot Shot can be the blue guy, and Rodimus the red guy.
One of these days I want to make a big overlapping graph of the incestuous ways that Hot Shot, Bumblebee, Rodimus, and Side Burn all get repainted from each other interchangeably and willy-nilly. With a few guest appearances by guy like Tracks, Nighbeat, and Excellion.
