Look again at comment #317. I took out the feature suggestions that would not fit a Generations figure and added the suggestion of using a long nosed car-carrier truck for his alt-mode as an update of his original alt-mode.

lol, if stating an obvious truth is "crushin peoples hopes" we're all in serious trouble.

I'm not even into Beast Wars stuff, but Rhinox looks great. The alt mode makes him look like the toy weighs around five pounds. Super beefy!
Budokhan
Boy, youre just aaall about crushin peoples hopes aintcha?

They were shown at the panel but won't be revealed to the public until a later date. I'd assume SDCC will show them off.

So, since a MTMTE Whirl and Tailgate have been announce, was there no prototype pics of either of them? During the panel?

Rhinox and Waspinator! Gotta love some Beast Wars appreciation! : D

Yes Titanium Magnus is a decent representation of G1 Magnus but there is one majoy flaw in that logic and that is that he simply doesn't fit into the Generations aestetics.
Generations is all about taking G1 characer and modernising and updating them and Titanium Magnus just sticks out of them as a sore thumb while say the 3rd party City Commander works much nicer in veins of what Generations is.
Plus ALL of the recent Generations toys have been based on IDW character designs which mean that if we do get an Ultra Magnus he will be in his IDW design and not his G1 designs.
Again to all people who want slavisly G1 cartoon accurate figures: You're collecting the wrong line.
That's what Masterpiece does.

have you seen the titanium magnus?
it would be very simple to convert that design into a voyager (or larger) figure.
the titanium magnus only had a few flaws.. flaws that could very easily be solved by more modern engineering.
an opening matrix chamber and all that jazz is asking too much.. and i agree that, if we get an MP magnus, he'll come with those features.

Double Dealer… that nosecone is worth the entry fee. It's just so dope.

That Rhinox looks amazing, even to someone like myself who missed out on the Beast War series when it came out.

Where s a picture of the new swerve? I flipped threw the thread but couldn't find it. Is there a bot mode pic of Skidz?
videriant
Takara already claimed that blue.

What you want is a Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, because those demans are completely and utterly unreasonable for a line like Generations.
If we get a Generations Magnus anytime soon it would most likely be the IDW Magnus design like how every current Genereations figure is based on the IDW designs, and as such it would require a parts-forming armour, and that's something I don't see Hasbro doing anytime soon.
Movie Convoy
I want Rhinox, Waspinator, all Legends figures, Skids, Goldfire, and everything else, but DoubleDealer and Dreadwing are no-goes.

To me, a "true" Ultra Magnus toy would be an Ultra Class sized update of the original character but made using today's Transformers toy making technologies and designed to have tons of points of articulation in robot mode and be perfectly in scale with Classics Voyager Optimus Prime in both modes. But, instead of becoming a cab-over style Car-Carrier, he transforms into a fictional version of Movieverse Prime's vehicle mode in Ultra Magnus' colors but pulling a permanently attached car-carrier-type trailer. And I don't think that it would be a good thing for an Ultra Magnus toy to be a brick-former. I see brick-formers as bad toys and as anachronisms when compared to today's transformers figures. That's why I prefer the Classics seeker mold over the G1 Seeker mold.

Generations beast wars?
I am all of the in.
Basilisk
Seconded. Though I'm really happy they made Rhinox a toy that was going to be released in 2008 who knows maybe they'll use other unused 2008 idea such as SUV Soundwave
