Thanks to TFW2005 member ericepy for snapping a picture of new toys of Transformers: Rescue Bots characters Chase and Blades. The new figures were spotted and purchased at a Wal-Mart on Central in Toledo in Ohio, so they may be available at a number of locations in the States. Additionally, it is reported that they were purchased for around eight U.S. dollars, which is less than the Hasbro-listed retail price of $9.99. Whether that is the price at all Wal-Marts or just certain locations remains to be seen, but either way the figures are available at retail. We also have reports that the same pair have been spotted at UK retail by UK based TFW member incapable hulk.

cool. We have chase, but only the plane version of blades which kind of sucks. I'll have to pick some up for my son for Christmas as he's starting to really get into them.

These are ugly. No paint on Chase's Rescue Bot symbol. 🙁
Remember that the toys and the books came first and the animated series decided to change things.

yet this more "accurate" Chase has yellow eyes/visor and not blue eyes like the show.

They've already done 'remakes' of Optimus and Bumblebee (along with Salvage and Blurr) this year. No news yet for similar versions of Heatwave and Boulder.

I kinda wanted to get these characters since I'm collecting every other line, but the toys were pretty lame. These are looking much better.

My son has the first Rescue Bot toys, they're not bad for what they are. I wouldn't mind having a screen accurate version of Chase and Heatwave myself. I'm not sure why they weren't accurate before, it's not 1984 anymore.

I saw these in the UK last week, nice to see Rescue Bots still going
ericepy
They rang up for around 8 bucks

Woah, they're making more screen accurate Rescue Bots now? I knew they made a shift to a smaller scale, but I completely missed news of new versions, are any of these out already? I may pick up the main cast if they're cheap enough (Resources section says 10 bucks a piece… maybe a bit much? Still neat though).

Found these at Walmart today. I didn't think they would be out till next year.
