Hey, remember the good old days when this thing came out?  Well, reminisce a bit with a gallery for MPM-11 Ratchet.  🙂  I’ve had him here for a bit and finally got around to shooting him up.  Ratchet is the last of the Movie 1 Autobot crew to get an official Masterpiece slot.  Studio Series has been putting out some OK stuff at a faster pace for sure, but having all of the MPM team together does feel good, and looks great on shelf.   I feel Ratchet was one of the better from the crew, he’s got a nice tight transformation and feels sturdy in both modes.  Colors pop well, and sculpt captures the grumpy doc vibes from the movie.  If you are looking for a nice Movie 1 rep, the 5 of these guys together work great, so give em a look.

What’s crackin’ lil bitches? The Masterpiece Movie line continues to fill in the Movie 1 ranks with MPM-9 Jazz!  Keeping his look as the all silver Pontaic Solstice, Jazz comes ready for battle with his blaster, Sam running with the Cube, and an add-on robo spinal cord so you can recreate his tragic death at the hands of Megatron!  Yes, he does split in two, a feat of engineering since it essentially requires transformation elements to be in two separate halves.  He stays in scale being the smallest of the bunch both on screen and in MPM form.   All in all it’s a great piece, one of the MPM line’s sharpest in both modes IMO.  Read on to check some key pics or hit the full gallery here for 55+ shots!

You still fight for the weak, that is why you LOSE! Mighty Megatron is in the building today with a look at Masterpiece Movie MPM8 Megatron.  This is the latest in the Movie Masterpiece series, repping Megatron in his Movie 1 form.  He comes packed with arm extension, extending fusion cannon, and Allspark cube.  His head features light piping for the eyes and a moveable monster mouth.  He’s surprisingly accurate to the movie, you have a hard time telling what you are looking at without a lot of concentration.  For accuracy’s sake though, that’s what should have been done and it was.  He’s a big piece, standing 12 inches tall with some heft, lengths over MPM4 Prime.  Articulation is thorough, allowing for most poses you can think of.  Jet mode is solid, accurate to the movie.  All in all, if you are a fan of the movies, this is a really good rendition to represent on the shelves with.

One of the most anticipated figures shown off at Toy Fair 2017 for me was Movie Masterpiece Bumblebee.  A higher end, more detailed, more complicated version of Bee than what has come previously with plans for semi-in-scale future figures.  As someone who enjoys the Movieverse version of Bumblebee and his alt form Camaro, getting a definitive version was welcome.  We have the Asian version in hand, which is out now and shipping from site sponsor TFSource. Transformers The Last Knight has hit theaters and is working it’s way through it’s run.  The movie got mixed reviews, but some of the toys are still solid offerings to our collections.  The initial waves were a mix of repaints and basic offerings.  Wave 2 plus in each size class seems to be where the new molds and exciting figures lie. Today we’re sharing 3 galleries all at once, all from the Voygaer class.  Voyager Optimus Prime from wave 1 along with Voyager Hound and Voyager Megatron from wave 2.

I almost didn’t jump in here, I tend to stick to larger scale and MP figures only over the last several years, but I thought Megatron was handled well in the movie and as a toy at the Voyager scale.  And since Hound came with Megatron, he’s in here.  And you can’t have Megatron without Optimus, so he’s here too :).  Anyway, enjoy the three galleries below, and feel free to check out what other fans are saying in their feedback and review threads over on the 2005 Boards!

We’re sharing a quick gallery tonight of a recent release – Transformers Movie The Best Bumblebee. Movie The Best is Takara’s Transformers Movie pre-game show, higher end re-do’s of previous molds celebrating all the movies so far. I thought the Bee looked pretty sharp in promotional pictures and while I know everyone dreads him on the retail shelves, I do like me some Bumblebees. He’s using a deluxe Dark of the Moon mold with more traditional stripe work. Read on to check out some quick thoughts and some highlight pics. Conquest is made of the ashes of one’s enemies. 3A is back with their fourth (and last) Transformers Dark of the Moon high end figure and this time it’s none other than Decepticon Air Commander Starscream. Starscream is rocking his tatted up look from DotM in his F-22 mode. His unique look from the Movieverse is in full effect with the reverse knees, wide chest and bug-like head sculpt. This is the retail version which comes with an extra forearm missile launcher. The 3A exclusive version comes with a hand saw accessory as well.

Freedom is the right of all sentient beings! 3A is back with their third Transformers Dark of the Moon high end figure and this time it’s the leader of the Autobots Optimus Prime. Optimus rocks his long nose Peterbilt cab mode complete with flames, which some say is the best version of Optimus in the Movieverse. This version also comes with DOTM specific weapons – his spiked knuckles, giant blaster, and dual energy swords.

All Hail Megatron! 3A is back with their second Transformers Dark of the Moon high end figure and this time it’s none other than Mighty Megatron. Megatron is rocking his rusty truck mode, the Movieverse version with the cloak and shotgun. His face is still half gone from the battle in Revenge of the Fallen and he’s on the ropes. This may be the most menacing version of Megatron on the big screen yet, and 3A captures that glory here.

3A has branched out along with it’s partner company ThreeZero to produce high end figures beyond the artistic vision of co-founder Ashley Wood. Most of 3A’s licensed figures have been stylized interpretations of classic characters like Marvel’s Iron Man & Dr. Doom and even some from the Star Wars universe. Their Transformers offerings however have been direct from the screen. They’ve shown off 4 so far – Optimus Prime, Megatron, Starscream and Bumblebee.
