ME GRIMLOCK KING!  Today gives us long time Transformers fans a true treat.  Robosen, the robotics company which brought us the first auto transforming, walking, talking, driving Optimus Prime,  is back with their next big release – Grimlock!  And yes, he does transform!   Coming in at 15.5 inches tall, this is basically a double size Masterpiece Grimlock toy, which then transforms, talks, walks, does pre-programmed skits, and much more.

Taking another look at a fresh Robosen product today – the Transformers Rise of the Beasts Optimus Prime Signature Series Limited Edition figure.  Optimus is based on his recent movie look from ROTB, coming with multiple accessories pulled from his appearance in the flick.  This is another non-transforming product, similar to G1 Bumblebee.  The focus is on the robot, it’s movements, lights and sounds – giving you a display piece that you can interact with and customize.

Pre-Orders are now 30 days out from closing, so if you are interested in picking up the limited edition version of the unit, you can do so over at Robosen here (#ad).  The folks at Robosen let us know that the total units will be limited to 3,000 pieces, and the corresponding collector coins will be numbered that way as well.

Today we are taking a look at the next Transformers product from Robosen – Performance G1 Bumblebee (#ad). He snuck out earlier in the year via clips from a corporate event, but he’s going live to the rest of the world today.  Not just for pre-order either, he’s going live and will start shipping right away!

While Flagship and Elite Optimus Prime both have a transforming aspect to them, Bumblebee here does not. The focus is on action poses, voice and music. That voice being G1 voice actor Dan Gilvezan (or a very good copy confirmed, it’s him)  and the music being official G1 tunes, most being available on the recent vinyl record release. The combination of a very classic cartoon look, those sounds, and the fact you can control it all via an app kicks nostalgia into high gear.
