Here’s a random, cuddleable oddity. Washington-state based TFW2005 member Hollywood Hoist reports finding a new plush Optimus Prime on a recent trip to his local Target store. What is interesting is that this Optimus Prime plush appears to be based on the Kre-O Optimus Prime, from the designs of the tires and smokestacks, to the shading on the chest and the design of the eyes. It’s a pretty cool piece, as far as oddities go, and a nice addition to the small but growing collection of plush Transformers.

Kre-O Shorts – Stuck in a Tree and Cars
The official Transformers Youtube channel has added a couple of new Kre-O shorts, showcasing some of the current assortment of Kre-O Transformers releases. The first, Stuck in a Tree, features the Optimus Prime and Bumblebee combiner sets – these are the ones with five versions of Optimus or Bee, merging into a larger form of the characters. The second, Cars, features the Battle Changers and a used car lot! Both maintain the signature humor of the Kre-O shorts – check them out below.
Kre-O Battle Changers And Other Kre-O Sets Found At US Retail
Transformers Kre-O lives! TFW2005 boards member almightymaximus has reported a retail find of some Kre-O Battle Changer figures including Bumblebee, Hound, Shockwave and the Optimus Prime vs Megatron pack. These sets were reportedly priced at $7.99. Other sets found were Cell Block Breakout featuring Bumblebee, Galvatron Factory Battle, and Sideswipe Roadway Rundown.
These were all seen at the discount store Marshalls in Connecticut.
Robots in Disguise Bumblebee Disc Demolishor Set Found in the US
Here is a sighting we honestly thought we would never see. The Kre-O Transformers Robots in Disguise Bumblebee Disc Demolishor set has been found at US retail. This is notable, as when previously asked about this, Hasbro expressed they had no plans to bring the RiD Kre-Os to the US.
The set was picked up by TFW2005 member T-Hybrid in a TJ Maxx in Eagan, MN. It seems these sets may be following the fate of other items that failed to be picked up at mainstream retail in the US – they go straight to the discount retailers instead. Keep your eyes on your TJ Maxxs, Ross and others of that ilk – we suspect other Robots in Disguise Kre-O sets may follow suit.

Transformers Stop Motion Commercial featuring Kreon Battle Changers
The Transformers Facebook page has share a new stop motion animated video created by Stoopid Buddy Stoodios. The commercial, titled “Arcade”, stars Kreon Vehicon, and two Battle Changers, Optimus Prime and Grimlock. Thank you forum member T4mercustomz for letting us know, and all I can say is watch out if Grimlock ever puts down a quarter to call next in line at the arcades.
You can check out the video here, then let us know your thoughts on the boards.
