Via 三粒星星玩具屋 on Facebook we have images the latest Figure King Magazine. Issue #303 features a big Beast Wars special content plus information and images of the Rise Of The Beasts Mainline, Legacy, Studio Series, Masterpiece and much more.

This month we have 30 pages of Transformers content:

  • Transformers Beast Awakening – The first pages bring us information about the upcoming Transformers: Beast Awakening (Rise Of The Beasts) movie plus images of the recently released mainline toys featuring the collaboration with Akiko Wada, and images of all the different gimmick toys.
  • Transformers Legacy Wave 12 for September 2023 – Transformers Legacy continues in Japan in 2023 with the release of wave 12 which consists of TL-36 Core Thundercracker, Core TL-37 Nemesis Prime, Deluxe TL-38 Senator Crosscut, Deluxe TL-39 Crashbar and TL-40 Twincast.
  • Studio Series releases For September 2023 – We have images of the Japanese release of the SS-110 Core Ironhide and SS-111 Dinobot Snarl. Keep in mind that Takara Tomy use a different numeration compared to Hasbro.
  • Transformers Beast Wars BWVS-02 Stubborn Confrontation – Images of the Kingdom Rhinox and Scorponok 2-pack with premium finishing.
  • Beast Wars Special – Several pages of special content related to the original Beast Wars cartoon including interviews, official art, images of the original toys, episode summaries, special “Behind The Scenes” of some of the new Rise Of The Beasts mainline toys, and the new BWVS-01 Eternal Beast Showdown 2-Pack (Kingdom Optimus Primal and Megatron premium finishing deco). A lot of material to see here and some of our member noticed something that was a nice surprise. In one of the “behind the scene” pages, we can spot an image from our very own unofficial Beast Wars scale chart. A very nice surprise for all 2005 Boards members that Takara Tomy used our scale chart for their official media. Thank you all!
  • Masterpiece MPG Raiden – We have a new image of the gray prototype of this new Masterpiece combiner.
  • Kotobukiya Bishoujo Transformers – Some new promotional images of the new Bishoujo Transformers Bumblebee as well as the previous Bishoujo Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Thanks to TFW mod Gamerlingual for letting us know that Takara will be attending the Tokyo Toy Show on June 8-11.

The event will be open to the public on June 10-11 and we will be looking to report whatever news comes out of it, be it new toy images or any general information learned.

Coming to us via the official Flame Toys Twitter we can share for your images of a production sample of the new Flame Toys Furai Action Leo Prime action figure.

This is a fully assembled action figure, not to be confused with the previously released Furai Model Leo Prime which is an easy-to-assembly model kit. Furai Action Leo Prime features premium finishing, 60 articulation points, a poseable cape and a display base.

Takara Tomy Mall have just updated their pre-orders for September 2023. This time we have listings for five Legacy and two Studio Series Rise figures for the Japanese market plus some new stock images. Keep in mind that Takara Tomy use a different numeration for their releases. Also, we have the official reveal of the Transformers Beast Wars Again BWVS-02 Stubborn Confrontation (Kingdom Rhinox & Scorponok premium redecos) will be also released in September in Japan.

We have a new rumor for Beast Wars fans this morning, what seems to be a new addition to the Takara BWVS line: Rhinox vs Scorponok, both using their Kingdom molds!

The photo in question shows the figures in their robot and beast modes, both with premium decos.

We advise taking this as a rumor for now until we get official confirmation, but until then you can check out the image and let us know if you’d be interested in the discussion thread!

Popular Japanese pop-artist Akiko Wada has been nominated as a brand ambassador by Takara Tomy for the upcoming toyline Transformers: Beast Awakening (Transformers: Rise of the Beasts).

Ms. Wada is set to perform songs, produce YouTube videos, and be featured on various TV commercials to promote the latest toys.

She will not be the only brand ambassador for this endeavor. A new page on Takara Tomy’s official website hints that many other Japanese talents will join the ambassador project alongside Akiko Wada. A teaser image hints that at least 5 others pop-culture icons will share their enthusiasm for the ROTB toyline.

By way of TFND, we have some new info and clearer images of what we can now finally name BWVS-01 Eternal Beast Showdown, the previously–reported 2-pack containing premium repaints of Kingdom Optimus Primal and Megatron coming to us from Takara.

Namely according to the info provided, the pack will cost 13,440 yen (around $97 US) and will release in August.

We will update with info as it comes in but you can let us know if you’re interested in picking this up in the ongoing discussion thread.

Attention UK collectors! We can report that the new Transformers Legacy Wave 5 Voyager is out at UK retail.

Legacy Metalhawk was spotted by rlmiddleton at a Smyths store in Milton Keynes, and SamsHappyTime7723 also found not only Metalhawk but his wave partner Twincast at a Game store in Bury.

Just in from Amazon.co.jp are some new images of the Takara Kingdom Optimus Primal and Megatron repaints we had reported the other day, showing them in a variety of poses in both their bot and beast modes. The premium paintjobs on these guys are looking very nice from what we can see.
