The Hasbro Panel has just ended, giving us the reveal of an upcoming G2 War For Cybertron: Siege Megatron repainted from the current Siege Megatron mold! In addition to that, pre-orders for Megatron and other recently revealed Siege figures have started going up on our sponsor sites below!
More reveals from Hasbro Pulse today as ToyFair has unofficially officially started! This next one is a huge surprise that fans have been dreaming and making customs of for years, and now it’s official: the famous Ecto-1 vehicle from Ghostbusters is getting the Transformers treatment with the new figure, Ectotron! Sporting all sorts of details homaging the Ghostbusters themselves and their gear, Ectotron is no doubt going to be the figure fans of the 80s have wanted for decades. In addition to homaging the Ghostbusters and their vehicle, Ectotron also comes with a Slimer ghost accessory!
Ectotron is available for pre-order via Hasbro Pulse for $39.99 USD.
Update: Official PR after the break.
Update 2: Transformers Official Instagram shared an image confirming that Ectotron will also be available in the US as a GameStop exclusive.
Hasbro’s newest and most unique addition to their product lineup, Botbots, have entered the world of apparel! Yes, like the Prime Wars trilogy and the Bumblebee movie, Hasbro has created some officially licensed shirts, long-sleeve shirts, and hoodies sporting some amusing artwork and taglines featuring some of the popular faces from the Botbots line.

Thanks to the TransFans Facebook page, we have our first look at the alt mode of the recently leaked Cybertron/Galaxy Force Optimus Prime! No, the image is not blurred out or smothered in purple, so we get a good look at the impressive, heavy-duty firetruck mode this Prime sports.
No further release info is known at the time, but be sure to check out the image in full after the jump, and if you missed it, check out his robot mode here!
Thanks to TFW2005 user Fc203, we have some screencaps from what appears to be a stop-motion review video featuring Studio Series Shatter, among other Transformers and non-Transformers toys. The screencaps give us a good look at her robot and alt mode as well as a few poses. Like her partner Dropkick, Shatter only comes with one alt mode. However, that alt mode is her car mode and not her aircraft mode; whereas Dropkick is the opposite. She also seems to be sporting a bit more of a generic head that isn’t quite movie-accurate, but the rest of the figure seems to pay a good deal of homage to her pre-jet mode on-screen model.
No details on release date yet, but Shatter will no doubt be released at the usual $19.99 USD price tag along with other deluxes. Check out the images after the jump!
Thanks to NOTRAB, the Hasbro Weibo account, and Kevin Liu, we have our first in-hand looks at the highly-anticipated Studio Series Leader Class Dark of the Moon Megatron! In addition to some stellar shots, we also have some size comparison pics of Megatron in robot mode for those curious about how he scales with past Leaders, the DOTM Voyager, and the upcoming Voyager Optimus.
Check out the pics after the jump, and be sure to share your thoughts and excitement in the discussion below! (pretty pics c/o NOTRAB)
Thanks to various sponsor sites, we have full, large stock images of voyager, deluxe, and battlemaster figures from the second wave of War For Cybertron Siege! This wave includes voyagers Starscream and Soundwave, Deluxes Ironhide, Chromia, Prowl, and Sixgun, and Battlemasters Laserbeak, Ravage, Aimless, Pteraxadon, Red Heat, and Stakeout. Laserbeak and Ravage, and Red Heat and Stakeout specifically are pairs respectively so those interested in another set of micromasters and Soundwave’s cassettes will only have to do half the hunting.
Wave 2 is slated for release February of next year and all cases and individual figures are currently up for pre-order/will be going up soon via our site sponsors below.
Thanks to a number of boards members, we have confirmation that the first voyager wave of the highly-anticipated War For Cybertron: Siege line has reached retail in the United Kingdom! One sighting of Optimus and Megatron was at an unnamed toy store in Crawley, and a couple of others at Smyths stores in Boucher Rd, Belfast, Wigan, and Preston.
Thanks to autobase_aichi on Twitter, we have an image of a flyer from Tokyo Comic Con featuring the much-talked-about MP-44 Optimus. The flyer appears to feature some possible box art as well as a confirmed price of 50,000 yen ($440 USD), cementing any speculation.
Check out the full image after the jump, catch up on our Tokyo Comic Con coverage if you’ve missed anything, and keep an eye on our sponsors for pre-orders to officially go live in the next few days (you can afford it if you dare!).
Fans of IDW’s More Than Meets The Eye/Lost Light series are in for a real treat this Friday as James Roberts has announced that he’ll be hosting what is popularly known on Reddit as an AMA session! For those unfamiliar, that’s “Ask Me Anything” and this one is specifically for MTMTE/LL! However, this one will take place in a one-hour livestream on Instagram. Anyone wishing to participate and ask Mr. Roberts your robot-related questions can submit via Twitter using the hashtag #LLQs and find him on Instagram at j.roberts332.
The Livestream will start at 10pm GMT (5pm EST) this Friday, November 30th and fans will presumably have until then to submit their questions.
