Transformers voice actor Michael Bell to attend TFcon Baltimore 2024

TFcon is very happy to welcome Michael Bell the voices of Prowl, Sideswipe, Bombshell, Brainstorm, First Aid, Scrapper, and Swoop in Transformers Generation 1 as a guest at TFcon Baltimore 2024.

Fans of the 80s will also remember him as the voice of Duke in GI Joe, Lance in Voltron, plus Grouchy, Lazy, and Handy Smurf in The Smurfs.

Michael will participate in a Q&A panel and autograph sessions at the world’s largest fan-run Transformers convention all weekend long. Michael Bell is presented by The Chosen Prime.

The transformerstcg.org team will be at TFcon Baltimore! We'll be doing events in the main TCG room. Additionally, we'll be hosting a panel with some juicy info for upcoming content.

You'll be able to enjoy the following:

  • Play pickup matches either with decks you bring to the con or with the free starter decks we'll be giving away to any interested player
  • Pick up two foil promos for 2024: an alt-arts reprint of the Wave 5 Nightracer SRT, and a chibi version of Wave 6 General Ghyrik
  • Acquire a selection of professionally-printed community cards that further enrich the first 5 Waves published by Hasbro
  • Receive a random giveaway just for playing games
  • Maybe even see a spoiler or two?

Want to learn the game – or just pick up some free promos? Just say "Hey Dot Org!" in the main TCG room all weekend.

I have autograph and photo tix for both. I have my original Optimus Prime in box (stamped \"3\"), but it\'s a little rough. I have a sealed MP-44 I bought in May and just got G.I. Joe Transformers Megatron mashup in the mail yesterday. May be my best options for autographs…

That Joe-Megatron figure is pretty damn cool.

Thanks for the suggestions! I've decided against creating some art for them to sign for several factors biggest one being time. My vintage stuff is all out of the box so that doesn't really work for me, I'm thinking just having them sign the bases of my large Palisades statues as they are already on display.

Kinda leaning on them using a gold marker but the symbols are mostly silver so I'm not sure if that will show up enough. I'll have to look into it some more but I don't want the signatures in black really as it might mess up the look.

Broad line DecoColor – and other type paint pens – are the best for signatures IMO and really pop on any surface. You can never go wrong with either royal or light blue for Cullen. There are different shades of purple for Welker. Also, consider liquid copper.

Last time I went there was a board for people to post their room sales on in the lobby of the Hilton, so I'd say if not actively encouraged, then at least accepted as a known thing.

Room sales are fully sanctioned by the TFcon staff. They are quite popular.

Need to find one of my MIB Animated Blitzwing figures. Or one of the rarer Animated comic covers with an applicable character on the cover.

I'm usually stuck in the exhibit hall at the LA one so this should be fun to get out and see the world. Are hotel room room sales encouraged or discouraged at TFcon? I know they were all over Botcon.

Last time I went there was a board for people to post their room sales on in the lobby of the Hilton, so I'd say if not actively encouraged, then at least accepted as a known thing.

I love that he's attending Transformers cons again after so long. He's the voice actor of my brainrot comfort character, and even continued to voice him in the BotCon 2024 script reading. Semi-sad fact that he can't do Random's laugh anymore.
I won't be able to attend, but it is neat. I wonder why he's going to all these conventions…

Congrats -if it were myself with tickets to meet the dynamic duo, I'd go…

1 – vintage Diaclone or G1 (whatever you have in the best condition, sealed box preferred)
2 – MP – sealed box preferred
3 – vintage theatrical or mondo/bottleneck poster
4 – comic books – vintage or more modern

However, I am not familiar with your art ;)
