Hot on the heel of Takara Tomy Synergenex Series reveal, now via Kyodo News website, we can share for you images of the full reveal of the upcoming Synergenex Series Godzilla x Transformers toys.

To commemorate Godzilla’s 70th anniversary, and Transformers 40th anniversary, two special crossover figures will be released.

Optimus Prime Type MFS-3 Kiryu (Mecha Godzilla) – Redeco of Legacy Laser Optimus Prime in Mecha Godzilla colors.
Megatron Type Godzilla – Redeco with a new head of Studio Series 86 Grimlock.

According to the product description, both Optimus and Megatron scan Mecha Godzilla and Godzilla respectively and obtain the powers of each monster. We finally have a look a the alt mode of each figure which features colors and details inspired by each kaiju. Both are planned for release in Summer 2025 in Japan (between June and September) with pre-orders going live between September and November, 2024. Price is yet to be revealed.

Okay, so heavily inspired by this thread I went out and got my OWN Godzilla crossover… with blackjack, and hookers!

I tracked down the Signal Flare repaint for the 07 Transformers movie. Found him brand new. So thankful for this thread and you guys telling me a Maser Tank Transformer existed in an old line!

I did and unboxing video and initial thoughts review, had a blast with him. The bot is flawed, but he's nearly 20 year old. A great figure overall. Give my video a watch and a Like if you can. And thanks to the folks that inspired m e to hunt this fella down. I'm looking forward to getting the Kiryu Optimus Prime to go with him.

I wonder why the Shield Liger Optimus hasn’t become available for preorder yet. So far most T Spark stuff has appeared on retailer sites after Takara has released official press coverage of it.

Ok… I like what they did with Lioaeous's head, they took the Optimus head silhouette and made it unique while still being recognizable. I might careless about the figure if he had an original head, he's a neat addition to the list of what I called "Convoys". And he is a "original character" he just borrows his look from a pre-existing character. Would it be cool and unique for him to be an original design like all the others of course, but I think it was the better choice to do what they did.

What I am going to say is completely contradicted by your point you just said, but screw it I will say it anyway because I love being wrong from time to time!

Optimus's head is the most marketable design and that's why they went with that head for Liolaeus Prime.

Now as I said I am already contradicted because of the other crossovers you mentioned!

To further add to my point, Monster Hunter is also crossing over with Digimon, and did they make their own Digimon up? Well yes and no.

They went with Greymon and Garurumon, the most marketable Digimon for the crossover and mashed them together with Monster Hunter creatures.

Takara slaps Convoys head on stuff and it's a new character.
In the west we have Optimus prime but in Japan it's Fire Convoy a whole new character.
I'm okay with this being a new Prime with a new matrix. He will go with my Onyx Prime next year as his 2nd.

Similar to Ectotron, Gigawatt, Maverick, Code Red, Agent Knight and a few others were given original looks which to me worked compared to this
