I went back to the episodes and I'm disappointed they didn't include the music from the final episode with the stasis pod launch. That song was amazing. Hopefully there is a season 2 soundtrack. The music there was much darker. I want the code of hero and that Transmetal showdown song.

Like G1 need the later series music too, but this is a nice start. Great summer background music.

Ah fair enough, well let's hope if this is sold enough or listened too enough for them to warrant another album.

The Other Voices track on the album comes from specifically Other Voices Part 1, making up the score of the last few minutes of that episode after the aliens trigger the termination sequence and that is how it ends in that episode. But yeah, there are other variations of it that continue past that point heard in other episodes that aren't on the album that I'd definitely like to have on a possible second volume.

Agreed, I remember thinking that depth charge scene from the intro being really badass as a kid: "HE'S JUST WALKING OUT OF THE WATER… MENACINGLY". I don't care what anyone says I think depth charge is probably my favourite character design out of the entirety of beast wars, something about his headsculpt just does it for me when it comes to the cool factor

Yeah there's multiple lengths of that first series I even heard once the theme was shortened and called beasties for some country lol wtf.
German dvd plays the full theme but with no written credits in the theme. I also luckily managed to get the Australian box set two years ago off eBay.
Season 2 in the UK they never played the full theme on TV they cut it very short. I never see the full season 2 theme until home release.
Also Season 2 UK never released the episode aftermath in official VHS volumes…. apart from the single tape with the episode they put with a toy combo. And optimal situation was a Toys r us VHS exclusive, you'd get it free if you spent £10 on beast was toys (easy) or you paid £10 just for the VHS.
Let's hope if this album does well they'll release more.

>releases the 40 second version of the Intro theme
I was expecting the full version. are you kidding me, Hasbro?

Could you guys try reaching out to your contacts to suggest replacing the first track with the full version of the intro tune?
Yeah the season 3 visuals are dope, but the actual song is the exact same between all 3 original intros.

Ah, I like the S3 intro the most, like how the BEAST WARS comes a little later in, also helps with the cool S3 scenes like The Ark launching and Depth Charge walking out of the water.

Season 2 and 3 original intros are the exact same length as season 1. But seems like in some syndications and DVD releases a shortened version was used.
Shortened version sucks. It sounds so rushed. I had never heard it until this album dropped.

I've been able to enjoy most of it between things today. A very long awaited moment in time for sure and just as much so for more score from BW seasons 2 & 3 (I still want the remixed Other Voices and the temporal wave theme from "The Agenda" part 1). I might be using this set of tunes all weekend and into the new week.

Canadian version of the theme when?!

That's interesting. As you say, I guess it depends on where you lived. I cant quite remember if I stopped watching the Power Block just because S1 ended, and I had all the episodes, or what, but I don't recall S1 airing t least in my area outside the Power Block. But I do remember in the very early days of the internet finding out when S2 would air. It didn't air until October of 1997 (In the U.S. at least), and it was syndicated. My market had it on Saturday at 6:30 am (was already an expert at programming my VCR though) .
Also I remember having to plan which weekends were new episodes, and which were reruns as from October 1997-February 1998 they only showed 8 of the 13 episodes, then later that spring they showed the last 5 on CN all in one week. That was like a euphoric overload!
Then in fall 1998 had to wait for those last 5 S2 episodes to air AGAIN, until S3 finally started airing. Lastly, I remember when BM started airing on Fox (Saturday Morning proper) in the fall of 1999, they showed BW in rerun M-F, but I never watched it because I already had all the episodes on tape, so I'm not sure which intro they used.

I actually saw both intros in my market. On weekdays, the Power Block episodes used the shortened intro for season one. Season one episodes also aired on Sundays as standalone episodes (outside of Power Block) with the full intro. Once Power Block ended, season one episodes also aired in reruns on weekdays with the full intro.
Depending on what market you lived in, you may have seen one or both intros. It’s just a bummer that the full first season version hasn’t been officially released outside of old VHS tapes. Seasons 2 and 3 always used the longer version of the intro.
The DVDs also swapped one scene with the Ark in the season three intro. I have my old VHS recordings to prove they made a change. Not sure what the rationale behind that one was.

The Guitar riffs go so hard and yes S2 and S3's version of the intro's where shorter which this versions for S1 reminds me of. Like the G1 soundtrack I definitely would like to see a vol.2 of tracks that where left out.
Op Minor
Yup.
Robomaster726
I'm gonna guess the third option.
Op Minor
This will be played in my Transformers display room (aka extra bedroom), all weekend, non-stop, maybe even until the end of time. Or at least until my beautiful wife tells me to turn that s#*t off.

You are not wrong. Fans who saw BW S1 in the United States as part of the "Power Block" initially in syndication in 1996 (would run BW 2 or 3 days a week, along with Reboot and GI Joe Extreme) had a shortened version of the S1 intro. I actually thought it was odd when I finally saw the Full S1 intro, because I had recorded all those episodes on VHS, and it wasn't until they were on DVD did I see the full S1 opening. They had to shorten it, because after the "power block" intro, each show had its own intro as well
