Ocular Max Facebook have been updated with our first images of the prototype of their upcoming Infinity Finity IF-02 Stray (Drift x Initial D).
This is a Masterpiece scale Drift figure which got a very original alt mode inspired by the AE86 from the Manga/Anime Initial D.
There’s still no concrete information about price or release date, but we know there are more upcoming crossover figures on this line.
See the images after the jump and then sound off on the 2005 Boards!

ngl as a car enthusiast this is wonderful news. i cant wait for toyhax to sticker this up in fujiwara tofu decals

At this point I’d rather they take their time and just release it Q1 next year

Yeah my Hexatron is well over ten years old and he isn't yellow. Drift and First Aid aren't nearly as old but still nice and pearly white.
Megatronus27
No yellowing issues on my first run Hexatron.

Anyone have experience with past, predominantly-white MMC figures? Upon first consideration, I’m kinda happy that most of the white on this figure (in bot mode) appears to be the plastic itself and not paint. The drawback is potential for yellowing, so I guess I’m wondering how folks’ white MMC figures have aged.

Considering we have absolutely no news, I would be surprised if it releases this year.

I'm not slagging them for this, but MMC and XTB are large contributors to why I don't believe 3P release dates. Fanstoys has had it with a few figures, but almost like clockwork, if MMC gives a figure a release window, add at least 2 months.

Hope this helps:

I’m sorry for bumping the thread without any updates on the figure, but I was wondering how well would this go with MP IDW figures, like the GCreation Prime and GT Jazz. Especially the alternative version. View attachment 30555383
There’s a good bunch of this design that reminds me of that GCreation Drift, I guess it may be because both were tracing similar sources.

I don't have science on my side, but I'm feeling April 1st. I'm not sure if that is for the figure or just pre-orders though.

For the sake of clarity and to help set expectations, the card at Botcon in late June said Aug 2024. Around then, OX said on FB that pre-orders would open in July.
The card at TFCon in mid-July said Q3 2024:
Since then, OX (or PSX?) has said Stray needs some changes and won't be out for awhile. Q3 ends September 30, so it would be a bit of surprise for them to make that date at this point.
My own scientific wild-ass guess would be right before CNY 2025.

MMC is about the only company that can pull me out of my 3P-legends habit. Drift is a must-have, I’m thinking seriously about Greejeeber, and I’m probably getting toy-deco Streetwise. I think my last large-scale figure purchase was Medicus, and that was ages ago.

Only a little bit?

Nothing is certain except Death, Taxes and MMC's delays
PrimeMA2204
It was confirmed earlier in the thread as not accurate. MMC said Drift “needs more work” or something and shifted the release to sometime in Q3 of 2024.
Hicks_Royel
Anyone else starting to think "August" may not be accurate?

Yes, it's been on there for a little while. It's unknown if these preorders will even be filled because the First Edition version is a PSX exclusive, so ShowZ could only fill these orders if PSX isn't sold out.
